is this a good choice??? what experience does he have in a full time coaching role? from what i have heard, he has only been reserve grade and assistant coach to the 1st grade team in New Fm comp.... i think this all comes back to a poor initial choice from the Maitland club in their coaching choice, not a good start to life back in the top flight

Well i guess we see talk on here about coaches being recycled throughout the NPL each season so where's the harm in giving a local coach, and in Maitlands case, a kid who has grown up playing alot of football for the club, a chance to make his mark on a club he loves and a competition that needs better coaches. From what we've all read, he's pretty much been running the team so far as is. I for one wish him the best but I guess just like any coaching job we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Guy Bates scores a stunner off a free kick with a few minutes to go to send home crowd crazy and finish the game 2-2. Exciting finish to a pretty well-contested game. Hamilton looked the better side though.

The better side by a long way, controlled the game for majority of the game and I'm sure will be disappointed in not getting the 3 points.

Fully agree. A few missed chances cost them. The one towards the end where the striker fell over was really unlucky. Definitely two points dropped instead of one point gained.

Clear pen for Olympic before halftime knocked back. Ref was really poor. Guy Bates did look quality
