From what I have seen from the others it's edgys to lose, the others are too old and too slow. This league has passed a few by.

Mind you the three named above would be staters at the bottom four clubs.

Also you forgot to mention the lads who did not even get stripped- Rhys Tippet , Chris Berlin and the Korean Kid..(Korsa)i think..
And mind you I would take those 6 in a heart beat to any team.

On average 6 hours a week, 2 nights training plus game day at 50 an hour, for 18 weeks = $300 a win or $5,400 win lose or draw, handy little tax free Holliday at season end, each to their own this is just my personal opinion

i think 300 would be only be for those "elite" players in the comp. clubs are promoting youth in their teams now, giving the young ones 300 a week based on your numbers would once again lead to them asking for more in another year or 2

when i started out, getting 50 a week was great in the scheme of things coming out of the junior grades. think players really need to start earning these big bucks they ask for by putting in some solid seasons and maturing a bit first

A few clubs pay double this plus more, it's killing the spread of talent through out clubs I believe

maybe these clubs should spend more on facilities and top line coaches to make the club itself look like the big carrot to chase. i know we all would like to play somewhere thats got nice sheds, nice stands, level playing surface that can withstand the winter weather. maybe these things would attract and keep players seeing as though there are clubs always going to wave cash around

You only need to look as far as Broadmeadow to see that this works and pays dividends.

Seriously I think clubs and there committee can have more overall enjoyment in the newfm, where they can pay there players win and draw bonuses equally to all players that won't break the bank.

The npl is a vicious circle 4 or 5 committee members at each club bust there gut all off season raising funds to pay players then bust there gut all season running game day, all for the glory of the npl, must be enjoyable for some.

No one can argue that, 3 FFA cup games should see more improvement, good luck to them but I'm afraid keeping up with the joneses won't happen in Newcastle

in the end the clubs make the conscious decision to spend on players or facilities. At Magic 30-45K per year is spent on upgrading something, this is for the benefit of all at the club not just the first 11... Not applying this policy Magic could compete with Jaffas and Olympic on players wages but what for... 3 FFA Cup games we hosted because of that foresight from the committee, everyone can do it... Pretty embarrassing for other clubs that have been in the comp for so long but cant keep up with the Joneses.

You missed my point, it's hard for other clubs to develope facilities due to money being tight, unless you have a very wealthy buisness man behind you, and please don't tell me Broadmeadows wages are not similar to others, players don't change clubs for less money, especially after a grand final win, I personally don't care who gets paid what and who has the best facilities, my concern is not all clubs are on the same playing field and in the end the NPL will only be for one or two teams who have the coin,

You are kidding - Magic took at least 4 youth games away from magic park. Someone may correct me, but I heard Magic youth only played 5-6 games at home this year. Money spent on drainage in the off-season certainly didn't benefit the clubs youth!
