    they're not that short

there will be exceptions, but usually the best are over 6ft

Buffon has probably been the best in the past decade - 6'3, then the other standouts Neuer 6'4, Cech 6'5, De Gea 6'4, Lloris 6'2, Kahn 6'2, Tomaszeweski 6'4, Schumacher 6'1, van Breukelen 6'2, Lehmann 6'3, Schwarzer 6'4, Bosnich 6'1, Chilavert 6'2, Dasayev 6'2, Van Der Sar 6'5, Maier 6'1, Zubizarreta 6'2, Shilton 6'1, Southall 6'1, Yashin 6'2, Schmeichel 6'3.......

Carlos Hernandez should have been given the Johnny Warren Medal on the spot for that effort. Brilliant.

You also have to consider the vertical leap capability of the keeper which can be dramatically different, and in some cases negate the height difference. You also need to look at speed, reaction time, ability to reset quickly, distribution, capability with left and right foot, organisation of defence. Once you assess all these then make the determination of who is the better keeper.

I thought you were looking for some perspective on keepers and what makes a good one rather then just the assumption if they are over 6 foot they are good. Obviously you are one of those who thinks Archie from Magic is a better keeper then Swancott because he has a few inches height on him. I'll be sure to pass on any more useful information to your proctologist so he can whisper it in your ear at your next appointment.

Height isn't the only criteria. Don't be a ****ing idiot.

If Birra could catch a cross he might be ok. The guy has no presence in the box whatsoever.

That's not what your ma said about his presents in her box.

    Or something.

Can't we all agree that having two keepers playing as well as they are/were (before face cave in) is a good problem to have?

Can we change the title of this thread - it is obviously very much in dispute.
