I know the dates are set but stadiums and cities not booked yet
Any ideas on who to contact in relation to tickets for OS games??
I know I can get one on the ground in LoS if need be but would rather not be dealing with some Thai tout trying to rip you off
Anyone else done an away Socceroos trip before and how did you source tickets for the Aussies support??
Agreed, is pretty much the worst case scenario group. The only way it couldhave been worse would have been drawing Syria instead of Thailand, because fxxx that away trip, and IMO it was a coin toss with Japan/Korea.
Looking at the fixtures the worst games for us seems to be playing away to Saudi Arabia then backing it up 5 days later with a home game v Japan. Or even playing away to Iraq (I assume in Iran?) then backing it up 5 days later with a home game v UAE.

OK
We are champions of Asia and haven't been playing football this good in quite a while. To me we will qualify regardless of who we got drawn against.
WE DON'T DO WALKING AWAY !
To be fair the groups should be really ****ing hard. Asia football has disappointed last few WC and they get pretty much same spots as Sth America.
No free rides derp derp derp.
Good to have hard groups - qualify and you deserve it.
Won't stop the bogan media thinking it is only a home and away v Japan to qualify.
I was sitting there watching it last night and thinking after the first three pots "Group A is the one to get" but after the next two I thought they were fairly even.
You can only beat what is put in front of you.

Patience required but I going
That for sure
Bit of a **** to get to stadium.
Probably have to hire a taxi for the day
Hard group easy group.. its bloody WC qualifiers.... no easy ins...
geesh think about the process for quali in europe or South America...
in all that, we must qualify and also for football and the team to improve, must aim for top spot.
Amigos Aarau
Aim for top spot sure
But reality is we just need to dominate the weaker teams like we should.
Put the UAEs Saudis Tgais Iraqis in their place and preserve our ranking as a top side in Asia for future tournaments and not limp into the WC like we did under Holger
Three Arab teams makes it hard - no secret they hate us and want us out of Asia, mainly because we take the token spot they had a mortgage on.
Expect fun and games off the field and with the refs.

Premier, David Gallop support Luke Foley's call for football World Cup qualifier in Newcastle
http://www.theherald.com.au/story/38...-match/?cs=305IN a rare show of bipartisan support, Premier Mike Baird has thrown his support behind a call by Opposition Leader Luke Foley for Newcastle to host the Socceroos in a World Cup qualifying match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) next year.
Responding on Friday to a letter from Mr Foley asking him to negotiate with Football Federation Australia (FFA) to secure the March 28, 2017 qualifier for Hunter Stadium, a spokesman for Mr Baird said the government would put “a strong case” for the fixture.
“The Premier strongly supports more international football matches being played in Newcastle,” he said.
“While the allocation of matches is ultimately a matter for the FFA, the NSW Government, through Destination NSW, will certainly be putting a strong case to the FFA.”
FFA chief executive David Gallop, who publicly canvassed the idea of a Newcastle-based World Cup qualifying match during last year’s Asian Cup campaign, also offered support for the proposal.
"If Newcastle were to mount a strong case with the right level of government support, FFA would certainly give the bid every consideration," he said.
Mr Foley wrote to both the Premier and Mr Gallop on Thursday, asking them to show support for the region by pushing for Hunter Stadium to host the match between the Socceroos and UAE, the two teams that played an Asian Cup semi-final to a bumper crowd at the ground last year.
“Hunter Stadium was the venue for several Asian Cup games and contributed in no small way to the overall success of the tournament,” Mr Foley said. “There can be no doubt that it can host another major Socceroos’ fixture.”
Hunter stakeholders were also quick to add their voices to the chorus of support, with Newcastle Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes, Northern NSW Football CEO David Eland and Tourism Hunter chairman Will Creedon all applauding the proposal.
Cr Nelmes said she had spoken to Mr Gallop and Asian Cup local organising committee CEO Michael Brown about the idea after the city hosted four Asian Cup games last year.
“As Lord Mayor I am very supportive and from a council perspective it fits in well with our long-term tourism strategy to attract more big events to the city,” she said.
Mr Creedon said the structure to support such an event had been established during the Asian Cup, “so it would just be a matter of pressing the ‘go’ button”.
Mr Eland said the region was well-placed to bid because of its past record in hosting a big football event.
“We came through the Asian Cup with flying colours; the venue was outstanding, particularly with the new pitch, and the region was supportive.”
A spokesman for the FFA said it had contractual obligations with Destination NSW to play at least one of the five home matches in the next World Cup qualifying round in NSW. Destination NSW said all location options were being considered.
Flights to LoS booked on November
Now only have to sauce tickets
