Everyone knows we're stuck with Jones, when we really want Papas.

    Just give it to jones.

Likely going to be a stop-gap coaching tenure so why not give it to jones to stip his name popping up in the future.

Who knows, he may actually have what it takes. But more than likely we'll be outside the 6 and martin will have lawrie searching for another coach before seasons out.

that would be an awesome appointment, we can only dream.

Adelaide have been rewarded as the article mentioned appointed wisely and were patient and they had a great succession plan in appointing amor.

im afraid the Jets will never get it correct in this coaching department. We should ultimately be targeting a foreigner with a particular focus and knowledge in developing youth as we have a nursery now with the emerging jets which i believe needs to be controlled by the head coach with his selected staff.

i had hoped this might be a possibility with a smart and astute businessman in Martin Lee. However like metioned before we will hire locally and more than likely be looking for another coach in 12months time.

Gombau would be great but why would he give up the soft job he has now to take on the basket case that is the Jets?

    Ambition? Show he isn't a one-hit-wonder?

I would be over the moon with an appointment like this and it would be a very clear sign of ambition from the owner. It would demonstrate he's serious and the club administration are looking to improve our standing.

Never know...Martin might have Lawrie looking for another job if his appointment fails terribly.

I'd like to see Martin Lee register on the Foz, post a poll with a Slobs option and let the people who know best decide on the new manager.

does 'job job' actually mean 'shit job'? if so that's a bit of a harsh assessment of Scotty from Ryan...
