As usual , they want a club to be the bad guy (Olympic ) and put in a for a formal complaint before they will take any action. Everyone can see what took place and as the governing body, it is Northern's responsibility to deal with this matter
Quite clearly the article states that Match Officials can submit a report if they deem anything to be worthy of reporting. Obviously the match officials were not concerned by this. So in the theme of the last week of this thread with regards to match officials and abuse of and respect of, it should be respected that the referee didn't have an issue with it and therefore the referees decision should be respected.

There is no love lost between hamilton and magic so don't feel for a minute that hamilton would not have lodged a complaint if they felt they had a case, they would have zero care factor being the bad guy. And further I have to agree that it is strange that an individual would react like Reuben did unprovoked and especially in front of the match officials so I'll see it for what it is and that's a storm in your tea cup. Clearly a nothing incident. Don't let your hatred of magic cloud your judgement.

Don't let your love of Magic cloud your judgement that a coach putting his hands on an opposition player is ok!

I agree on Ruben though, he hasn't shown any pervious form for over reacting.

It's 7 penalties in their last 3 games at Magic park. Perhaps the coaches rash behaviour rubbing off on his players.
And i still think the stomp by Piddington was way worse than what Zads did. Can anyone post a link to the incident

Agree! Reuben should keep his hands to himself, but it's hardly a John Kosmina moment! And as I wasn't in the middle of the ground where it took place then I still reserve my judgement as to whether it was provoked or not. I recall Zidane being howled down for head butting Materazzi (I think) during a World Cup game. As time went on it it came out that Zidane was personally abused and reacted the way he did after a slur on his parents. Not saying anything as dramatic has happened her but obviously there is more to the story than anyone here knows, but again a non incident as far as Hamilton, the Match Officials, or Northern NSW are concerned. I would much rather not see Reuben involved in these type of incidents but at least he didn't make a dick of himself swearing and carrying with profanities in front of two young girls and everybody else including other children within earshot of the players tunnel.

    Gee whiz

    That was handbags

Ruben just walked in shoved Smith and then walked off

If he was really upset at Smith the argument would have kept going but Ruben wasn't even interested in Smith

Sure you can't be condoning the physical contact but really??

Players cop more than that during games at set pieces and in back play and when a ball is 50-50

I watched Olympic v Edgy last week in the cup
One of the Olympic players was quite lucky to get away with a stomp as well

I don't think the ref spotted it live
    But the crowd did

Grand final replay and there's no-one here. Are Magic fans staying away this season?

Edgy 2-0 Magic at HT. Could have had another 2 or 3. It's a walk in the park at the moment.

3-0 Edgy at FT. As comfortable as it gets. Bradbery & Virgili are one trick ponies who's one trick barely works anymore- the rest of the Magic stalwarts look old and wayyyy past it. Rubes has no hope until he can make significant changes. Edgy on the other hand look a like a well oiled machine. My money's on them to make it a hat trick of titles this year.

Edgy will go close to winning it all again those guys all understand the system zany wants them playing hence even if he starts blokes on the bench they still don't seem to miss a trick. Could have been more then 3 yesterday they were toying with Magic. Never got out of 2nd gear

Magic on the other hand it's amazing to see them losing every week they have blokes who are old and slow and just can't cut it anymore. Get rid of Peter Haynes for starters.

There is a certain coach leaving maybe get him over next yr cause the players don't seem to wanna play for Ruben!

bit harsh to signal out a bloke who for more then 10 years has blead and won countless of matches for this team..
im more worried about the guys under 25 who should be having a good hard look at themselves, Bradury , faj ,vigili etc,
these guys are at the age to demolish teams with there experience, speed, fitness etc, but kids these days dont have the mogrel in them like previous magic players have had.

Anyone know where you can view the points accumulated in the player of the year race?

Confirmed on the Herald web page. Bolch has been moved on from Hamilton next year and even though it doesn't say it , will be replaced by Pete Mcguiness. Bolch linked to Maitland along with a few other guesses by Craig Kerry
