Wasn't that Synthetic at Darling St? No chance in hell are you getting LMCC to dig up a turf pitch and reinstall it every year. Belmont Cricket have been at Cahill for as long as I've been alive they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

One would think that Phoenix have learnt from past mistakes and rather than constantly trying to use someone else's ground they would be looking to secure there own Facilities. There is a nice little spot right near Valentine Swimming pool that has plenty of potential I would be banging on LMCC's door asking about if I we're Phoenix.

i think it may have been the case that at olympic the cricket was a low league or junior cricket played. Where as at Cahill oval Belmont District grade cricket is played, big difference.

For some reason I thought Lakes Rugby League team and Belmont Cricket Club played on the same ground. Is this not the case anymore ?
