I have watched the game for over 40 years and honestly, have never seen more controversy over ref decisions as there are now. So the whole point of the exercise is not being remedied. Like other sports rules are being changed to suit the technology, not the other way around.

The whole thing is purely for the benefit of TV and betting agencies.
