Good signing, never been a big fan of loan signings as you can't get a transfer fee. But in the current climate it's about getting as strong as squad possible with the dollars available.
Given what's going on, I see the A League being very similar to that of it's first ever season back in 2005/06. That being very few big names, lots of no names and journeyman. Good players aged 22-30 will move abroad. Good opportunities for younger players to get a chance.

Champness and his reps informed the Jets about it ages ago and had we didn't have any issues, his move also doesn't go against anything written into contract, so now Lawrie is just trying to act like he cares to the media to save face again. We can't afford to sign anyone right now anyways.

I'm happy he's back in the league tho, with the amount of players leaving the quality is going to drop off to even worse levels next season. The league needs as many half competent footballers as it can get if we want to stay afloat for a long enough to rebuild this thing.

Yeah, we get first chance to sign him. So one of three things has happened.

1. We had the opportunity and chose not to resign him. (Make sense given our financial issues and Lawrie's incompetence.)
2. We offered him a deal and he turned us down. Which he is legally allowed to do after the first clause expired.
3. We weren't given an opportunity and Brisbane/Champness are lying. (But considering how easy this would be to prove, I think this there is zero chance of this being the case.)
