Happens here in Newcastle all the time as well, the zone boards got rid of Northern's board when they saw their cushy spots and power would be taken from them.What I hadn’t anticipated was what I was walking into at the time, an archaic organisation, with individuals throughout the game trying to maintain fiefdoms of perceived power.
That's awesome, shame there is always people complaining whenever discussion of having the finals at McDonalds Jones or #2.As the popularity and success of FQ Grand Finals continues to grow each year, 2023 will see the NPL Queensland and FQPL 1 Grand Finals join the ranks of competitions held at Suncorp Stadium.
I like the idea of the marquee games being played at the best possible venue but there is valid criticism to be made of running of these events.Playing at McDonald Jones at night in the middle of winter is always going to deter crowds.The debacle at #2 last year should have embarrassed everyone involved with running that event but it didnt seem to matter to them.From the lack of information regarding tickets,the lineups trying to get in before kickoff and the complete lack of catering options should all be addressed and rectified this year.Add to that there only being 1sts and Womens rather than all 3 grades was another oversight.NPL grand final day is one of the best days of the year for fans to get out and support the game and their club if involved.

Some people say there should be another meeting with Northern as the critics say they are still way more focused on financial outcomes than football outcomes. Thoughts?
I'd just be happy for them to confirm a home and away phase 2 for the youth grade next season
Last year we.played more games then this one, plus two cup/plates events (pre season and mid season)...feels like being short changed

Just read The Herald article re the NNSWF AGM. It seems a bit of Karma has kicked in and the current board has ousted one Mark Trenter. Mark the only remaining member of the old board the current board ousted has had his bags packed for him. This leaves the NNSW board with just about no one who is from Newcastle maybe this new member they have hand picked to take Marks spot but i'm not to sure how many people know him and where he is currently from. Seems like Mark back the wrong horse in this battle, the current board used him to gain control and now have put him to pasture. At least he was the remaining voice for Newcastle Football now i'm not sure we have one now at all. Interesting times when one of the hot topics out of the AGM was talk about a rep team for NNSW how is that even a board topic.
I heard that Mark Trenter criticized other board members and the direction of NNSWF prior to this AGM and supporting Craig Johnson's rant at the season launch. Board didn't take too kindly to that and have worked to oust him bringing in another regionally based person who hasn't been involved in the game for about 8 years.
Like you said there is now no one from Newcastle so will be interesting to see what the board and those with old ideas do.
