Here you go, Average age is 23.7 which is one of the younger 2024 squads, I think Lakes were the only younger one at 21 years. 9 from 20 were born in the 90s.

The new rules won't be affecting Edgeworth too much except of course some of these players will be 2 years older.

Lakes were 21.5, Magic were the next youngest at 23.1... then Adamstown 23.5.. then Edgeworth

Thanks for that. Not that I am sure what the point was, bad that FA are bringing in these rules for 2026 and that Edgeworth already meet these regulations, or it was good that they they already met them.

Not sure if you guys didn’t notice this is a zone league chat, we don’t care about NPL

Why would anyone look at your books for payments. Everyone knows that the player payments aren't recorded. Just because you don't write them down doesn't mean they all of a sudden don't happen

What are you writing it in your books as an expense if you pay a player? did you pay buy $30000 worth of toilet paper for the year, $45k of miscellaneous?
as a not for profit you dont pay tax but you keep detailed financials as you must show them at AGM where members can ask questions of them
By NSW law youre required to hold an AGM every year and show financials and submit those to the nsw government (cant remember which body atm)

Couldn’t agree more looks like the npl is at a new all time low in terms of interest and they’re trying to bring its ugly head to zone league fans. We should be discussing the exciting signings taking place in the league not focusing on npl. Latest rumours Olympic have captured the lanky bearded centre back from its NPL first team. Hopefully he can add some experience to their backline and blood some of the squad’s youngsters to improve their defensive prowess. Will be a remarkable signing if the rumours are true, they will soon no longer be the dark horses of the competition but potentially the stallion leading the pack with Croatia closely behind them. Very exciting times ahead

Haha, yes I'm sure every single dollar is recorded in your books, you keep telling us that. And if it makes you happy keep thinking we're all stupid enough to not know that the cash in hand payments happen

It's actually hilarious that people like you still genuinely think we have ever paid a player a single dollar. Stop wasting space on the forum with utter nonsense.
The fact you think it and believe it, is a massive compliment - so thank you.
You can sit at home repeatedly writing what you want, I can't stop you. But I'm really sorry to burst your bubble buddy, the facts are we have never and still don't.

Don't have to "think" it happens, when I know factually it's true. And I couldn't care less that you do it. Only part that annoys me is the bullshit claims that you don't. If everyone just admitted to it, then it wouldn't be a topic.

If it done officially or of the books ( golden handshakes in the shed) who cares, just don't lie about it

You are delusional mate. Living in some fantasy world if you think that.
Much like our players play for free, happy to keep living in your head rent free. You can make all the claims you like, but it's just boring for everyone else to listen to this regurgitated drivel now.
I think many of clubs have proven that player payments isn't sustainable, it's a slippery slope once you start.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

NO CASH. Driveways, kitchens, gifts can be an alternative. If players can make a deal good for them.

You guys know how stupid you sound, right?

A club that has fought to retain a community status, that has fought and values third grade for a pathway through our club to ensure we build on longevity of players throughout our club.
There's now a clear path for clubs that want to progress through the tiers of football. Do you not think if we were a club prepared to pay for players that we would be pushing to take our club to a higher level rather than the opposite?
That's just not where we sit, we value being a community club. We value the culture and connection to why our club was formed.

It's great that clubs are ambitious and have the backing to progress, it's certainly needed in Newcastle.

Community level football is just as important as premier football in Newcastle.

Can't help but feel like I've struck a nerve here with you. It's alright if you never got paid like the others did. We won't judge you for that.

I'll make my mind up from my own sources, instead of taking you're word for it. I found yours to not always be correct.

have a think about it about everything you have heard about anything around football (goes on just about anything really not just football) in newcastle you havent seen with your own 2 eyes turning out to be true, let alone everything you have read on here actually turning out to be real
Id say out of everything ive read on here about 30% of would actually be correct as for the rest of things ive heard geeez anyones guess

it may strike a nerve for anyone when youre accused of doing something you arnt doing, you would defend yourself if you heard incorrect things about you? would be easier to just keep quiet if we were and go about our days
Would happily admit it if we were paying, its not illegal, unethical, something others arnt doing etc etc
the club has struggled to find a full time first grade keeper for years now, if we were paying players could probably solve that issue in 5 minutes

Ever considered those sources of yours could be wrong? all chinese whispers and rumours going round and youre taking them as factual
