Appears a few ZL1 teams have been struggling against lower league opposition in these pre season matches. Mainly the likes of Cardiff and Swansea. Only getting past a ZL2 team by a goal is a pretty worrying sign with the season starting soon.

This could be a reflection of the increasing talent coming into the ZL2 competition. Speaking to a number of people in a few teams, there has been quite a number of 18 - 20 year olds from the NPL clubs filtering in for various reasons. That quality divide may become slammer between the competitions if this continues to happen.

Yes I was quite surprised to see Charlestown from zl3 taking down warners bay. Judging by warners bay fb lineups they were close too if not full strength. Not sure what it says about each club but a bit of a shock result. Very keen to see how some of these Aus cup games pan out.
