The Federation made it pretty clear in pre-season that clubs could elect to play Friday nights and on Sundays - mainly for the purpose of higher chance of getting Refs. But as you can see by the draw, Saturday is by far the preferred option for clubs.

I am all for every game being streamed, a fair number of clubs already have the VEO cameras already, surely something could be done there.

All games are on Saturday except for Kotara which is on Sunday. With the amount of rain we had, and the quality of most pitches, it will be nearly miraculous if we play on Saturday. I hope I am wrong, otherwise, it will be yet another mid week season.

Rugby are the primary lease holder. The other sports sub lease it from them so they allocate it around the rugby season.

They fronted money and lobbied council to get it built.

Soccer did nothing so can't bitch about being a 2nd class citizen at that facility.

Soccer knows what they need to do, up to them/us to make it happen.

[QUOTE=riverboy;280632] they are trying to run Zone league football into the ground with so many zl2 and zl3 games.[QUOTE]

Yeah zone league certainly was at it's peak before they got BarTV involved. Not to mention since when is ZONE LEAGUE 2 and ZONE LEAGUE 3 part of ZONE LEAGUE?

It's like televising Newport County vs Fleetwood over Arsenal vs Liverpool

The split needs to be heavily in favour of ZL1, I agree.

Although to grow ZL as a whole, high stakes games and derbies in ZL2 and ZL3 should still have some exposure too. But if there's no such fixture in the lower divisions, ZL1 should always be priority and would be another incentive for ZL2 and ZL3 clubs to push up the leagues.

    4. Croatia (10)... Underwhelming

    5. Suns (9*)... less depth

    6. Swansea (7*)... They'd be happy

    7. Olympic (5)... Mentioned way too much on the Zoned In podcast

Explain in more detail, you come off sounding like a micro-thinker. What money did union contribute? What do they pay as a lease? Newcastle council is all who you know and who you go to bed that?s a fact. The upgrade was a local council voting bargaining chip & an easy way to line a contractor that also had ties to the council and club pockets.

Also Merewether retreated have been around for 125 years and can?t even get a field in Merewether lol wanna know why ?.hint a player did something that pissed off someone high up in council but I?m not going to tell that story as it was probably before you were born. Merewether still have managed to get featured on bar tv twice for this season, they will probably make a trophy about it.

Maybe some people in this thread could volunteer their time every weekend to BarTV. That way those asking for it can deliver 1 ZL1 game each weekend to the viewers.

Maybe offer some solutions with your feedback.
Newcastle is a small place. The Newcastle football scene is even smaller. Reach out to those involved with BarTV and offer your services.

Well said Premy, lots of hero?s on the forum but when push comes to shove they are few and far between.

So you just explained it exactly how it works and hence my point that if soccer wants the same they have the blueprint.

What else do you want out of me?

Sign up.your heavy hitters (there are just as many in football as there is in rugby), find your angle and apply your pressure.

You think I'm out here saying anyone does this shit above board?

    Geez Louise.
