Seems whoever manages the Zone Football League facebook account isn't happy that they have been called out.

Caught a glimpse of a back & forth in the comments yesterday morning, checked again in the arvo and looks like the gibbins bloke took away his comments. pretty vocal until his call out was called out...

Mayfield 1-3 Cardiff

Westlakes 1-4 Warners Bay
Olympic 1-4 Kotara
Nil need attempting to educate the uneducated Jardel.
Stockton have done nothing wrong. In fact, they should be applauded for taking initiative and organising an alternate ground, sacrificing a home crowd and canteen revenue in the process.
Rathmines absolutely positively would not have fancied an 8pm midweek catch up at Stockton.
Rules & Regulations Regulation D
Date of effect: January 2025 Page 34 of 43
i. The first step by the Competition Administrator after notification of a
washed-out Venue, the Competition Administrator will contact the
opposition Club to see if their venue is available, or
ii. The second step, the game may be moved to a neutral venue if
available, or
iii. The third step, the game will be reset to a later date.
So Stockton have done nothing wrong BUT Newcastle Football did twice
- Not contacting Westlakes and offering them to host
- Not providing access to Benches or Nets (Stockton had to being their own) They were nice enough to leave the Corner Flags though.
They are though, page 4 & 5.

There is plenty of stuff in there that I don't think many Clubs are doing or even able to do, interesting what the Federations enforce and what they don't.
I'll concede on the benches regarding nets though
The full sentence says "Nets and corner posts are to be provided to conform with the requirements of the Competition"
Where else are the requirements of the competition that mention nets?
The answer to that is D46 which says
"F.I.F.A. - IFAB Laws of the Game - Law 1 – The Field of Play, this applies for all ground surfaces, Ground markings, dimensions, goal areas, fixtures (goalposts, corner posts, commercial advertising, logos, and emblems, etc.), and fittings (nets, technical area dugouts and benches, etc.)."
And if we read the IFAB Laws of the game Law 1 we will see that it says "Nets MAY be attached to the goal" so nets aren't a requirement. However, corner posts are as Law 1 says "A flagpost at least 1.5m with a non pointed top and a flag MUST be placed on each corner"
Anyway it doesn't matter, Newcastle Football can't even follow their own rules.
Wrong thread brother
Being midway through the season I thought it would be appropriate to predict the final ladder
1. Croatia
2. Suns
3. Kotara
4. University
5. Cardiff
6. Mayfield
7. Swansea
8. Warners Bay
9. Olympic
10. Stockton
11. Westlakes
12. Azzurri
Croatia are just too hot to catch. The addition of Cowburn has essentially cemented the clubs place in NL1 next season. Will be interesting how they go about creating youth sides to be NPL eligible... also heard that they'll be playing out of Wickham near the Croat club next season? If true, it would help with youth recruitment with the lack of PYL clubs in the north-west Newcastle/Mayfield area, and could also entice youth players from Medowie/Stockton.
There is undoubtedly a clear top 6. Uni, Mayfield and Cardiff will be battling for the last two finals spots, which is going to be very unfortunate for the one that misses out they, all deserve a go at finals football.
I've tipped Azzurri to go down, they deserve it. I wouldn't be surprised if they BS relegation by pipping wins against Westlakes and Stockton, all three clubs just can't match it with the big guns.
Mayfield vs cardiff
1st 2-1 mayfield
Res 3 nil mayfield
Hearing was a very interesting and entertaining night especially in ressies match abandoned anyone at the game care to give some insight into it few reds giving out
Mayfield vs Cardiff game was tight in the first-grade game (6:30). Great game to watch.
Ressies didn't kick off until 8:30.
10 mins in, straight red card to Cardiff for decent. Unlucky as there were a few 50/50's go against Cardiff and they were blowing up. Not sure what the ref heard but straight red for decent.
Second red card was two yellows. Maybe after 25 mins. After the first red card two yellows to the captain over the next 15 mins (decent again). Cardiff just could compose themselves and were losing it.
Cardiff then did really well 1 and 2 men down for most of the half.
2-0 Mayfield @ HT.
Last straight red card came maybe at the 55-minute mark. Absolutely horrible high, studs up karate kick on Mayfield player's chest/arm. Bruising and blood drawn.
Third man gone, minutes later a Cardiff bloke went down injured and with no more subs the game was called (maybe 55-60 mins).
Mayfield 5-0 I think.
