Top 2 are set. Medowie and Merewether to battle it out for next 2 spots.
5th spot I think Charlestown will get it. They have had some good results lately and have the squad if fit.

Greta vs kurri this weekend. If greta win or draw the minor premiership and promotion is surely theirs. If Kurri win, then the race is on.
Greta have a pretty good run home after this weekend.
They will have already played Kurri (2nd), Medowie (3rd) and Merewether (4th) twice.

Greta should see promotion I think. Recruited very well and improved out of sight on last year. Kurri very top heavy, can score for fun but the rest of the team isn?t quite as quality

I've heard along the grapevine someone Lochinvar Rovers way is trying to form a ZL3 team.

As per Raymond Terrace football Facebook page, they are looking for a coach to enter in ZL3 next year.

    Possibly Muswellbrook as well.

I hope this is true. Terrace have a great history in zone league and will be great to see them back. Lochinvar and Muswellbrook are two areas underrepresented.

I wonder if anyone is dropping out, hopefully not

Good to hear of interest from a few prospective clubs.

Muswellbrook would be competitive straight up I believe given they were pretty decent a few years back in both grades.

Lochinvar are an unknown proposition to me, interesting.

Raymond Terrace had quite a good proactive committee three years ago when they were last in Zone league 3. Great facilities, Good set-up for football. If they can sort out the numbers and look at it for multiple years it could work.

Good thing about ZL3 is any club can have a crack at grade, only need 1st & ressies & if it doesnt last no real worries just as long as they put a full season in.

    Barnsley v Merewether

Only 3 minutes of play possible before the game was abandoned. Could take your pick of Hail, Lightning or a flooded pitch for the reason the game was stopped.

Hard to see everyone getting these games played within the normal season, with more rain predicted this week.

No one getting on this week or next by the forecasts

With all these prospective clubs. Would NF be open to a 14 team ZL3 or is that asking too much? I believe in giving every club a chance, what is the point on keeping ZL3 "exclusive" to 12 if theres possibility for more teams.

26 rounds, No thanks. Clubs are struggling to get games on atm with this weather, Imagine 4 more rounds.

What about a two conference system for a 14 game season. 1 game vs the entire table (13) + 1 game vs teams in your conference (6). 19 games. That might be doing too much

I think it's too many teams to be honest in a division. I think getting one more team will take the Zone to 36 teams. That will be three divisions of 12 teams, which will be ideal.

Apart from that, get 3 more teams and have 10, 10, 10 and 8. Always rumours of multiple team's joining but let's wait and see when the nominations come in.

NL1 only has 10 teams. Theres room in the pyramid for 3 more teams. Makes sense as then every comp has 12 teams, 22 game seasons

Sounds good in theory to me, probably a good question for ZL1 clubs and NNSW Football ( As the increase of clubs will be more clubs entering into their run competitions).
