The Bay always have a competitive team, they have a great set up of youuth down there. I'd have the bay hanging around 4th this year for sure

Jaliens gives me the horn
Terrace forward is no quicker than average just very good on the ball
i have a feeling this may be pretty common for a few clubs in these divisions, getting around 20ish at training for 3 grades is pretty ordinary, fingers crossed as the season approaches (and it is VERY rapidly approaching!) blokes will come out of the wood-work looking for a game. suns are lucky enough to have a massive community behind them and they've been around for a while so hopefully they'll be fine..
Anyone got trials this weekend?
The Bay has had plenty of players rocking up..
Due to this we have had to make an all age team to accomodate..
Few players retunring to the area has helped and wouldnt be surprised if we sneak under the radar...
The first question is if they were decent Lakes players why would they drop 3 divisions to play under a relatively inexperienced coaching group compared to what they would have had at Lakes???
And I am sure the older of those among us remember the success Croatia had using a similar game plan.

I'm not saying incoming players won't or can't make a difference but I don't see players coming down grades making the 'impact' people expect.
In dropping down so does the training, the tactics, the discipline, the level of team mates etc... guys move down because they want to have to spend less time training, less time in pre-season, be with their mates... to take it a little more casually. yes everyone is still competitive, I just think the way some clubs tag guys as being from "NBN" or "New FM" is more about making a club sound impressive. And that goes for all divisions.
I watched a fair bit of Wallsend the last few years because a mate plays there, last year in mid season the got Tom (forgotten his last name) who was ex Lakes and Zac Douglas from Edgie (ex jets Youth).
Now the guys who played against Tom I am sure noticed he had a quality about his game, as could Zac. But I would possibly have still only just put Tom in a team of the year for ZL1 and probably not Zac at all. Maybe they guys who played against them could judge better but tagging them as Ex NBN really meant nothing.
yes wallsend did have 2 lakes players playing in a trial against bero juniors, kyles one of the dont no the other and loked like they keeped most of the guys from last yr
