To easy gunners, 2.1 win over Sydney jets youth, yeeeeeew
Why would anyone bite over that Plague?? Not amateur hour you know.
Got there a bit late after Forever Red actually shafted me on the valet parking idea (Where was the shuttle bus by the way???)
Jets Yoof played just like first team. Boring predictable and uninspiring. Down 2-0 at HT with some wonderful defending for the second goal. Nothing ball floated in centre half got a flick to it and proceeded to divert it straight over his teammate straight to the bloke his teammate had left to go to the ball. AMATUER
Half way through the second half I would swear I was watching the HAL team under GVE. Even in the last 10 mins they were ****ing around with the ball between Duncan and the fullbacks when down 2-1 WTF
Coaching from Jets Yoof was woeful as well. Lundy was playing right side of the front 3 and was carving up the Southy Left Back for the first 15 mins of second half and the coach as soon as the Jets got it back to 2-1 decided to put him on the left of the front 3 where he got 10 x less joy with the Southy RB. Swapped over for the last 15 mins but opportunity was wasted.
From what i seen of it Southy deserved win due to Jets Yoof GVE infused ineptness.
Also spotted Deans on the bench so he must have had some ****ing involvement.
DEANS OUT
Went to my first State League game. Newyrover called it: Youth played too much like the senior team, 'controlled play' but mostly in the back half. Southy were more structured and finishing was better.
Bitterly disappointed about not seeing The Member.
This is the second week I've watched the baby Jets play and OMG they need to change their name to the Newcastle Koalas (a protected species) how many soft penalties do these guys get. Yes they are technically better but also smaller, eg how is a 6 foot u 17 player supposed to go shoulder to shoulder with a baby koala 3 foot tall, they fall over and get the penalty, what a joke. Seen a penalty given today when a guy stood on the ball and fell over.
Only positive side is if the jets teams do well in their divisions northern won't have to restructure things again.
Member, who was the woefully inept jet that finished wide on the left in the front 3?
That would be the bloke who was on the park for 15-20 mins before he EVEN touched the ball as all his teammates refused to pass or overhit balls to him all day???
Wasn't his best day. Pulled off to 2 great positions and once his teammate on the right ignored him and flashed it into the 6yard box when it wasn't the ball and was 3 southy on 1 jet. The other time Lundy should have given him the ball but chose to hog it and ran into the space where Kale was standing and got tackled instead of giving it and Kale would have been shooting from 15 yards out. FMD
The pair of them had a great blow up FFFFing and CCCing one another when the ball went back up the other end
I would agree it definitely wasn't his best day. But for mine his attitude was fairly poor when he came on. I don't know if it was the success he had last year in NBN followed by his his solid season in the NYL, but for mine he seemed to have a touch of aloofness about him in his approach when he came on. IMO he is a fair way off A League and would be better served just keeping his head down and working hard etc etc. To get to the next level the first thing he has to do though is stop focusing so much on his fringe.
No that means he's bang on target to get a jets contract. That's all most of them do. If they implemented a shaved head policy at the jets A league team, they'd win the comp, because they'd have so much more time with out flicking their hair about.

The youth were a spitting image of the first team. This happened around 10 times. Duncan to wing back, wing back to central defender who would either play the ball back or pass it cross field to the other wing back and than they would play a hopeless
Long ball where bures would just muscle someone of the ball and play it away.
They play so slow, any chance they had would be wrecked by trying to win the possession count as Southy would happily set themselves up as they dicked around with the ball. The number 11 for the youth (Mundy) I believe is a superstar. Fast, good feet and a great crosser of the ball.
Could only imagine what the member was feeling when he saw kale on the bench. I know my head was exploding. Almost felt like shooting deans when he tried to give him advice before coming on.
Jets will be hard to beat when hoole, oxborrow, kantarovski and cooper are back to play
