Any predictions for this week fellas?
    Stockto v cookers
    Mayf v kurri
    Bero v tronno
    Simba v Gog

I'm tipping stocko to get the points at home against a solid cook hill. Kurri to just get the points against mayf. Bero to come home against a tired but fighting toronto and simba to enjoy some goals against dungog at home

    Dungog v Simba
Reserves: Dungog had a lot of key players stepping up to firsts and some others out. I have no doubt they will beat Simba with a full string squad.
Firsts: Dungog dominated the first half and in nice sunny conditions, barely gave Simba a look in all first half. We probably deserved to be up by 4 or 5 going in to the break.
THEN second half came, we walked in to the sheds for ht all sunny and no wind! Came out second half and it was blowing a Gail behind Simbas backs! They grabbed one back early in the second but our boys defended well and done the job for a very impressive 3-1 win.
Showed we have depth there again! Simba was by far the best team we have faced. Must say the boys have a very good touch when bringing the ball down and play a very quick tempo! Few firey moments during the game but after the game they were top blokes!

4-2 win was a lot better than it sounds. We were flat compared to our normal selves. Take nothing away from cookers, they will be top 4 for sure!
That wind in the 2nd was hectic. I haven't won a toss all year and it would have been nice to have that wind in our backs. It was a great effort to get 2 goals with cookers camping in our half due to the hurricane. All in all another good result stocko. Thanks to the cookers boys who came to support our major sponsor and enjoying an old fashion boat race, good bunch of blokes!

Massive effort from the boys today. Won both halves 2-1 and was absolutely blowing a Gail in our faces in the second half. Cookers were camped in our half with every clearance blowing back in our faces. We showed massive character to scrap in defence only conceding off a corner and we kept the ball on the deck and stuck to our game plan. Looking forward to the road trip up the Gog for the grand final replay.

As you can tell a pretty disappointing day for Toronto. A mere 15 players available for 2 grades, with 3 of those players playing only playing because there was no other option. There were close to 10 players out due a variety of reasons - work, injury or committed to the other games(17s & O35s)

Had 12 players for reserve grade with 1 player going off hurt after 15 minutes, 3 more players injured themselves during the game but continued to play on. It was still a pretty valiant effort by the boys to stay in the game with a player running on 1 leg and the first grade GK up front.

First grade had 3 fresh players, one who should not have played and 7 players who played reserve grade backing straight up, so yes only 10 players for first grade, the 5 ressies who could not play either were hurt or had to leave for work.

We have only had a full strength team once this season (win against Mayfield), it is going to be a tough year however because of the lack of depth, hopefully we can stay injury free for a while.

Do u guys play Sunday because that's the best day for everyone? Or because that's when it suits to get the field? It sucks when u are short but if you persist like we did we attract more and more players and eventually strengthen to the point where it filters through both grades. Keep at it

Looking forward to this GF replay this Saturday. We have shown class so far this season and I think we deserve to sit on top of the table. Going to be a tough day at the gog but I'm also excited about the challenge of going there and trying not to think about the bus trip home to much lol. Hopefully I don't win the toss again, seems to be a good omen!

Toronto I feel for you guys. It sucks having no players to field a competitive squad. Keep at it the best use can. Plenty of heart to turn up each week knowing what's coming.

Yeah a bit of a combination of the 2, most of the players that pv4 is referring to end up playing 2 games over the weekend, instead of 15 IDs trying to play 2 games in 1 day.

Cheers for the support Wilso, we have a good bunch of young guys coming through, it will be a long road but we will get there.

We have 28 ID registered and eight u17 and o35 dual registered , so if we dnt count them we had thirteen players missing , just one of tgem days, but I know one thing the 15 or so that got there , wouldn't swap them for the world ..... Massive hearts
