Olympic v Jesmond Round 2 Washout

Predictions for this weekend based on absolutely nothing.
Draw
Draw
Charlestown
Westlakes
Very keen for another big weekend of football!!
I'm going with very similar results. Hoping we (Tenambit) can grab a win at home. Coming into our fourth game can only assume we will have our fourth week in a row of a changed back line. (praying Iv been removed after last weeks game) another injury and our already small squad srinks again which is making it tough but that is a challenge our squad accepted at the start of the year and is keen to come out on top of.
medowie vs westlakes
reserves 0-2
firsts 4-5
cats were very lucky to win. played really poor and imo didnt deserve the points.
most of the goals for both teams came from bad mistakes in the defence.
alot of free kicks were given for both sides were the defender clearly won the ball and the striker then falls over.
westlakes got a few a metre out of the box that could of easily changed the game and medowie got a penalty. pretty harsh on defenders when its a clear ball and all challenge and you give away a foul.
medowie had a few players backing up, so was a good effort from them.
Ressies
Uni 6
Muswellbrook 2
Firsts

Muswellbrook 1
Will give a match report when I have the time. Any news from other two games?

Charlie v Jesse at jesso.
Ressies 3-0 jesmond
1st. 3all jesmond went 1nil up very early nice finish poor clearance. Charlie then bossed the game to go 2-1 up after dominating and getting rewarded. Then drama. Pen to jesmond for a shirt pull then defender blew up throwing the ball away only to be sent of for descent. So 2all after the pen then jesmond scored again to go 3-2 up at the break. Charlie come out at ht down to ten men and still dominated the game and the chances came. Got a square up penalty to make it 3all and with the last kick of the game jesmond saved by player on the post cleared of line when thought it was in for all money. Good ga,e good battle but as a Charlie player even with 10 men for more then half the game think we deserved the 3 points but that's football and well done jesmond
May I add that it was the worst penalty decision i have witnessed.
Not one player appealed for it, and nobody in the whole postcode of jesmond park understood what it was for.
The charlestown defender has shielded the ball out for a goal kick, good physical battle with the jeso player, but he used his body perfectly to shield it out.
Whistle blows, penalty. Apparently by having his arms out as he shielded the ball, he was holding his shirt.
Absolutely ridiculous, he had his body in front of the player, there was no holding of the shirt, that makes no sense.
The jeso player said he didnt kno what jt was for. The jeso coach apologised.
It completely changed the game as charlestown were well im control, then 3 minutes later they were a goal and a man down.
The red card was for dissent, fair enuf, he shouldve kept his head better, but the decision originally was appalling.
When I grow up, I want to be Yohan Cabaye.
The fact. 10 men with 60 minutes to go for Charlie and jesmond couldn't finish the game off???i mean they had 5 backs against two fat aging strkers.terrible play.how Charlie didn't walk away(run away) with points goes down to the man in blue shirt.not once did jesmond threaten Charlestown in the second half while Charlie had a clear goal disallowed and 2 x other clear penalties not given and a ball cleared off the line last kick of the game.clearly the winner here was jesmond walking away with a deserved point.and yes you larged mouth centre back you mad the forum.hahahahhahajan.lucky rams because you're that bad for 60 you couldn't not only shut out a win you should've lost.
The fact.....
nosmackjustfact.... I'll just re-iterate two of your "sentences". clearly the winner here was jesmond walking away with a deserved point. lucky rams because you're that bad for 60 you couldn't not only shut out a win you should've lost. Do they not directly contradict each other? Was it deserved point or should we have lost? Did you cover heads and tails on Anzac day? As for: and yes you larged mouth centre back you mad the forum.hahahahhahajan. What the?
Onto the game: We lacked intensity and furthermore couldn't really get our game going. Credit to Charlestown, they turned up to knock us off and played accordingly. They were the better side even with 10 men, that seemed to galvanise them as a sending off can sometimes do. I might add they were very lucky to not play with 9 with a very ordinary two footed tackle directly from behind not seeing red. Our player needed to be substituted but thankfully I don't think he will be out for an extended period.
There were dubious penalties for both sides but the referee saw them as he did. I didn't hear what the C'town player said but if it was as bad as I'm being told then he deserved to see red. We did clear 2 balls off the line, could have conceded another pen but I don't recall a legitimate C'town goal being disallowed, happy to corrected though.
The 2 abovementioned strikers for C'town were a constant threat and probably prove you don't have to be pencil thin and in your prime to succeed at this level. They are intelligent footballers who can play, especially the #8, Chrissy M, who score a bomb with only half a yard and next to no backlift.
Our sheds after the game resembled a loss but if truth be known, if a team deserved the 3 points, unfortunately I'd have to say it was C'town. Well done guys, if you play like that every week you undoubtedly will be there or thereabouts.
Sorry for afterthought but reggies was 3-0 to Jesmond, C'town did have their chances but home side deserved the points as the score suggests.
Great game at Uni today, Mussy were too organized in the middle of the park for the gigantic uni boys.
Uni will be up there at the end of the season, however Muswellbrook are going to prove very hard to beat for the rest of this season.
It was hard in the second half as we all know jesmond slopes down towards the roses, the poor rams had to run up hill at the back half of the game. We didn't do any hill sprints in pre season training hence why we struggled to run up hill. Will take a point though, imagine if the square up penalty hadn't been awarded to make 3-3! The blow ups then!
