Imagine the league if Edden Oval, Darling St, Ulinga, I can't remember the rest, were up to the same standard! Would be fantastic. It would be much better than Magic, eventually, having a 10,000 all seater stadium, while South Cardiff still has to share their ground with their junior interdistrict teams.
What I would like to see is Magic being paid enough to cover running costs for the day, but any profits being equally split amongst the other NBN clubs (like how the FFA runs the HAL finals), or even just split between the two grand finalists. This way, Magic gets their fair share for hosting the day, and the other clubs get rewarded for making it that far. Ideally, with the profits being shared amongst the clubs, we see South Cardiff able to make upgrades to their ground, Lambton fixing their draining problem that CStein loves to bring up so much, Edgy may be able to host the final again etc.
That seems fairest to me, and would go a long way to improving the state of grounds across the board, rather than just a select few.
