I don't think Burns can be hailed as a great signing. He's been sitting on the bench for the best part of 2 years.
Only consistent Football was in the Greek 2nd division, which with all due respect isn't renowned as a development centre.

At least he WAS quality when he was with the pissants. If he could be anywhere near that form he will be a good signing. If he is going to be on the right like Grif and is ordinary then I would rather see Virgili take that role at least him and Goody link up good with Heskey.

Foudn a website yesterday that said our average squad age at the moment, Joey Gibbs included, is 22.9 years old.
I hate to think what it would be without the two 34 year olds in Heskey and Bridges.
Every day I feel like we are going to have a long, long season ahead of us. We are more chance of getting the spoon than the finals.

Not a great comparison, we are a development league. Our squad should be young.
If I was Tinks I'd be doing the same, by good young cheap talent, develop them and sell at a profit.
Just need better coaching staff to add value to the kids.
There's money to be made.
I fully support the buy young, develop, profit model... but it all hinges on the coach being able to do that. GVE is not the man for the job.
That model is used all over the world, but you need to keep the average age of the squad up, not buy youth in bulk
