Very good point!!! Why the REFEREES chose to stop running the club referee courses is still beyond me.
Alan Nesbitt at the NewFm meeting recently said that over 100 referees had been lost over recent years and a high percentage were approaching an age where they will request less games/retire shortly. So NBN and NewFM were put on notice and for increased penalties for abuse of officials.
WA Football have a fantastic online course to renew knowledge of basic refereeing, if all clubs had half a dozen guys willing to do the course and of course everyone playing willing to accept mistakes get made and no ones life revolves around any decision or game club linesman could be a great move to address some of the shortages.
