I know **** all about him:

Not sure why I missed this before...

Yes, Aryn Williams is a right back. Not sure if he is any good but you would imagine that with the family pedigree he has and how decent players like Jamieson have turned out after a brief stint even just in European youth/reserves, he would be at least worth a trial.

That said though, he is from Perth and given the injury woes Perth have, he might be a decent option for them as IR for Jamieson anyway.

If we're looking for an attacking mid replacement for nev's injury why arent we looking at Tim Cahill??

It was floated around a few weeks back when he hinted that he could go for a loan deal to a A-League club. Not sure if we could go for injury replacement but if burns goes back to Korea then big Tinks might need to get the check book out.

Has anyone posted that we apparently signed Nick Ward as IR for Neville?

Lets just hope he has been signed so as to collect and count all the balls up after training and responsible for topping up the drink bottles. He may need an induction though.

Still makes no sense why (1) we'd go for another centre mid who is not necessarily a #10, (2) banished Jobe, our most loyal person ever, and keep signing out-of-towners who are not necessarily proven to be any better than him.
    OK

From all reports, he was beyond dreadful when he trialled at WSW - against state league opposition

You don't know why Jobe left ? I'm suprised.

Gave the captaincy away (and yes I understand why). Offered a heavily reduced contract because he was no longer captain. Basically tore the legs from under him.

IMO if we had decent man-managers running the show, they should have been able to convince Jobe to either hang around or be available if this (Ward) sort of opportunity arose. And judging solely off the last time I saw Jobe and Ward play, I'd pick Jobe in an instant.

Instead, we sign an out-of-towner who has had 1/4 successful HAL playing stints.
    OK

I'd have targeted Jobe back. Both are known quantities and jobe's quantity is greater

I think you are being very kind with that 1/4.
