Hopefully not on Marquee wage. He can have Bridges salary.

Must say, in between all the injuries and lack of goals, he's been rubbish for us this season. If you ignored what he did in the previous season he'd be close to Jardel levels based on current performances.

Yep was thinking the same, unless he is giving us a huge discount for his services then no thanks.

And that's the crux of it, innit.
Peeps, I've been saying to a lot of interested folk lately that at the end of this 2nd season, we've forked out neigh on 1.4Mil for Heskey
and quite frankley, I don't reckon we've got our moneys worth....

I'm not writing Heskey off just yet but he needs to lift his form somewhat from what he's currently delivering.

Until that happens he's our third ranked striker.

I think a Griff/Heskey combo would fire. I think Griff has the football brain to not only play heskey into the game, but to also read what he is going to do and run off him.

Only downside is Taggart does not deserve to be displaced to make it happen.

Newcastle Jets goalkeeper John Solari has signed a one-year contract extension with the Jets, keeping him at the Club until the end of the 2014/15 Hyundai A-League season.

The 19-year-old shot stopper has been instrumental in the success of Newcastle’s National Youth League team this season, helping the young Jets into second place on the competition ladder with three rounds remaining.

Solari said he is pleased to have extended his stay in the Hunter.

“I’m really happy to have re-signed with the Jets for another season,” Solari said.

“My first season as a professional has been a big learning curve and I’m lucky to have a great coach in Bob Catlin and two great keepers in Mark Birighitti and Ben Kennedy to learn from.

“I think another year in this environment will really help me grow and improve as a goalkeeper and I’m looking forward to it.”

Solari joined the Jets during the offseason after progressing through the ranks of the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) and spending time with Adelaide United’s National Youth League team.

Solari is once again eligible to compete for the Jets in both the 2014 NBN State League and 2014/15 National Youth League competition.

Jets CEO Robbie Middleby said the Club was pleased to have retained the services of Solari for another season.

"As a Club, we’ve been really pleased with the way John has progressed since he joined the Jets,” Middleby said,

“He’s had a very solid season with our National Youth League team, which is a testament to his attitude at training and with that kind of work ethic, we see him continuing to develop next season.”

    Dear Jets,

Carrusca's still available. Make it happen.

    Patiently waiting,

    Jeterpool.

How's the composure on that goal he just scored. Everyone in the jets squad (bar griff and taggs maybe) would of taken that first time and put in into orbit
