    Bero v NBay
    1st
    4-1
Bero in control today 2 early goals in the opening 15 mins the 2nd goal was a cracker and giving our Reserve grade keeper trouble today the contest was over 5mins into the second half. The bay getting a late goal after Beros 4th was scored.

Halfway through the season and we've pretty much seen all our competition at least once, perhaps with the exception of a team. With the weekends wet weather I've not seen Morisset at all.

Has anyone got a pick for minor premiership and top 4?

Personally, I was really impressed with Kotara. They had us chasing shadows at times. Bero seem really intense for long periods (I think this will make them hard to beat for the minor premiership) and Suburbs now with their strengthened attack seem really worrying too. Suns I've only seen once when we played them in the wet. They would be my pick for the 4 with our aim to pinch someone's spot.

No disrespect to others, especially NB or WB as they beat us fair and square - but the above worry me more at this stage.

Keen for anyone's thoughts.... especially those that have been in and around this division for longer than Jesmond as my thoughts are obviously based on seeing most teams only once.

Suburbs for me have been one of the best yet unlucky teams I've ever seen in ZL1 Football. They're always there about's but for some reason injuries, Catch-up's and form slumps just always seem to catch them for the Minor Prem. Bero have thrown everything including the kitchen sink which personally makes me sick. How many times do we have to see clubs paying for mercenaries that leave the year after promotion? Not one team that has gone up with this method has stayed the distance yet. Warner's Bay weren't great but they're staying in the mix, certainly a runner. Kotara for me are just one of those teams that put themselves in the shitfight somehow, Great team but inconsistency seems to get the better of them. I have a lot of time for Kotara, an absolute Brotherhood Club. Jesmond, I have to say have been the least convincing team I have seen out of the "TOP" teams. I could not tell you how they get results but they do, and to anybody that knows football it's a dangerous trait to have. They don't look like they deserve a positive result but find a way to get it. They are a huge danger. Suns, have made a lot of changes to coaching and personel, although for the better, still finding their feet. If they click they will be right up there. At this point though I think they'll get 3rd maybe 4th.

In Closing, I'm going for a Hoodoo Break.

    1st - Suburbs
    2nd - Bero
    3rd - Suns
    4th - Jesmond

It's funny you say that because Jesmond were in and around the top 1-2 for the entire year last in ZL2 year yet every person I spoke to from any club other than Jesmond (and to be fair, even one or two Jesmond guys admitted the same to me) thought similar - not overly convincing, seemed odd they had accumulated so many points, yet the ladder didn't lie and in the end were deserving of the position they were in because the others teams didn't do enough to compete with that. They are great at grinding out the points. Great work by them to continue this trait in the league above. A shame about their field though.
    OK

ive never seen it this close before, no easy games for any team, even Morisset and westlakes have more than enough ability to take points from all teams
will go right down to the wire
im expecting a premierleague like last round with many on the phones for score changes and updates

If someone goes down to Jesmond Park and throws a bucket of water onto the pitch, council closes the ground & both teams can get on the piss Sat morning

Will have to be a lot of water, since I've played Zone League I've never played on it while it wasn't wet.
