Could the club be looking to do a "release trade" with Adelaide, we have a problem at left back and no visa spots available to fix it, perhaps we agreed to release Goodwin for Adelaide to sign, they do the same with Cassio for us to sign.

I'm surprised to see him go he's played in most games under Stubbins but been inconsistent.
He varied between brilliant and mediocre is his time at Newy so I'm not too upset to see him go as long as we sign a left back
Only problem is we might have a bit of a lack of pace now but I haven't seen Steele play yet
Correct that's why I said no visa spots available which is why I thought of cassio, a left back who can push forward, has worked with stubbins in the past & he got his Aus citizenship last year I believe, so he wouldn't be classed as a visa spot and would help solve the left back position. My only concern would be that he is coming back from a knee injury at the moment.
Probably means nothing anyway, we signed galla v2 & galla v1 is on our books so our LB problems are solved.

Seems like a rather stupid decision to applaud this decision to let Goodwin go when all it has done is mean we are firming to see Galloway start in Rd1
