Good luck to the bloke. Would be massively surprised though to see him succeed though considering he will be coming up against blokes who are 2-3 years younger who have just come through the college system and have the runs on the board with the game let alone the blokes who are already around the NFL already. Be a major effort to succeed at it though

To me this is a big win for our code.

It just shows how insignificant the game played by Dog Molesters actually is.

3 of their biggest names SBW Burgess and Hayne have jumped ship to **** off and chase other opportunities as the game is limited in how far one can go and they can leave safe in the knowledge they can return anytime they fail and get million dollar deals.

At least our code has a world wide presence to offer players the sea change somewhere else if they are getting bored in Australia.

Better still, Google Greg Smith from the Newcastle Knights.
    I was at that game.
    Still makes me larf.

Hayne is big enough to be a RB. Simpson was 96kg and Sayers was 90kg and they are tw0 of the best ever.
TE is the most unlikely opportunity as they need to run, catch, and block - it's not something you can learn overnight - And these guys are usually HUGE.
WR he'd be fast enough as a sub even time runner [or thereabouts] but he'd be up against guys who have spent all their life playing the position.
Special Teams would be the obvious choice.

Tetevano has pleaded guilty to eight charges in Newcastle Local Court, including two counts of common assault and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Tapine, 20, has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm after breaking a jaw of another man at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Merewether on September 21, the day after he played for Newcastle's under 20s in a sudden-death final they lost.

Packer was jailed in January for bashing a stranger unconscious and stomping on his head.
His sentence was reduced from two years to 12 months on appeal, and he was sacked by the Knights

Within days of Packer being incarcerated, the Herald revealed that Knights official and former player Ben Rogers was facing two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Soon after, young forward Zane Tetevano was terminated by the Knights and had his registration cancelled by the NRL after he pleaded guilty in Belmont Local Court to smashing a taxi windscreen. Tetevano soon after became involved in a second legal case in which he has since pleaded guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend and her property.
Heralds excuse - "It is unrealistic to expect a group of 50-odd young men to remain squeaky clean 100 per cent of the time, but clubs with strong leadership at least have a fighting chance."

Really? we arent talking about slapstick comedy here. NRL mentality is a poor form of human.

There was a thing on the official NRL site the other day with 'wacky' interviews with players.
One of the questions: what's your favourite swear word.
And yes the boofheads replied like you thought they would.
Kurt Gidley: "yeah id have to say I use f*** a lot".

    Dead set imbeciles.

Hilarious how all 3 of the other "Football" codes are tied up in this.

Be interesting to see the fall out on this and whether the trafficking charges hold up and don't get knocked down to possession/supply.

Trafficking will most likely see Gaol as opposed to slap on the wrist from the courts.

The other aspect is the Drug Testing mobs. The accused will get hit harder with any suspension from trafficking than for a usage/supply charge

Bhah, couple of lads out for a big night.
Who hasn't wished for a pick me up on nights like that?
    Good for the game IMO.
