I just about had it all coming together with Stubbins and Tinker's reign of disaster cutting memberships so I could work out who these real fans and the plastic fans are.

Now I am ****ed trying to work out who the plastic ones are in the soon to be 10k+ crowds

I wouldn't give up hope just yet on Jones. The way i read the " at this stage " part of the presser meant the door may still be open to him. We could do a lot worse than find a role for him. gets the job done without any BS or ego IMO.

I agree... I think the "at this stage" basically meant "we'll see whether the new gaffer wants to keep you, or bring in his own crew"

Agreed. Jones has one of the biggest egos in Newcastle. Decent number 2 though.
