It only leaks if the thing is turned on... so I thought that must mean it's internal and not a supply issue. I know nothing about these things... I struggle to even work out which end of a hammer you use.
generally happens when humidity is high and your unit hasnt been serviced regularly.
it will need to be drained but once it is it should be sweet. not a difficult job (for someone who has 'tools' and things).

Have a similar problem organising shirts for a club. Blokes have no idea what size they are. Even get blokes pulling the tag on the collar out to expose the manufacturers size. Just shake my head and go FFS
