It's what happens when you actually make forward runs.
Sure you will get caught offside occasionally but when you get it right even a slow bloke like Carney gets enough head start the opponent is in trouble.
That much of a rate event with us I struggle to recall the last time we scored a goal like that where a player got put through 1 on 1 and either slotted past or went around the keeper
More please Millertime
Woke up feeling even better about last night
I know it's 1 game but Miller finally became a coach in the last week as he realised the need to change the tactics.
The decision to move carney up front and allowing him to exert all his energy torwards an attacking output was brilliant. Triffo had his best game as he had a bloke working off him and a smart player at that.
The other brilliant piece of tactics was to play our wingers properly instead of that inverted crap we have been preaching. Inverted wingers only work when the full backs bomb on and because we haven't been doing that it doesn't work. Alivodics best attribute IMO is his ability to run and cross the ball and he was outstanding yesterday. Still not sold on kitto
Final one was the decision to play cowburn off the bench in his rightful position and not to bring Watson on. Watson shouldn't see the pitch again this season and cowburn should be starting this week next to poljak
This game proved that if played in the right positions our players ain't half bad. Having Leonardo now fit is a good problem to have.
In summarising KUTGW Scotty and back it up this week

Cowburn was excellent when he came on, there is our new CM!
He is only going to get better and looks to be all class on the ball.
Cameron Watson should just leave now!
WE DON'T DO WALKING AWAY !
It was refreshing to get a win yesterday, and like BodyNovo, I was pleasantly surprised to see we adapted our tactics.
A good coach will set their team up to be versatile and take advantage of the opposition's weakness. If we are realistic about reaching the finals, we needed to win yesterday against an understrength Phoenix at home. Similarly we need to defeat Perth next week otherwise we are back to 9th position again - win and we could be a point out of the top 6.
It was pleasing that we started quick out of the blocks too. The last goal we scored within 10 minutes was back in March 2012 against Perth. Also scoring with 10 men isn't something I would have expected from the group.
I was nervous after they scored, and I don't know whether that was justified because we have have only conceded >2 once this year. I guess it's hard to shake the feeling's of last year still.

I watched this on delay and right around the time the game was ending live my phone lit up with a million messages and all I could think of for the last 30mins was that we had def blown it.
How refreshing that for one week at least we didn't cock things up completely.
