We got a good deal a few years ago because we had Emile Heskey.
The seasons he was here we only had 8 afternoon home games.
First season he was gone (Stubbins era) we got 11.
So we can buy a big name marquee that demands we get prime time exposure, or we start to perform better to warrant the time slot.

The Monday game is Boxing Day, so I guess that's not too bad.
Sunday arvo games do suck though.
Perhaps the thought is people will be off over the school holidays and families can make a week out of it either side?

The Thursday is Australia Day so i guess they think people will take the Friday off to make a long weekend of it.
Monday 2nd January Victory Away Public Holiday.
Round 27 Easter long weekend no Thursday or Monday game.
FFS CCM Away on a Sunday 2nd last round
Same round Wellington at home to Sydney on a Saturday, why (rhetorical) could this game not be swapped around.
Great opportunity to have new year in Melbourne then see the Jets v Victory.....but the bloody game is in Geelong !

If people don't show up then they will lose money and therefore won't do it again. You win.
If people show up and they make money, they will do it again. Which would prove you wrong, therefore you will be ok with it.
If people don't show up and they don't make money but they do it again next year then there is a good chance they have an ulterior motive and then everything was for nothing and we all wasted our time here today. At which point "Fxxk this Club!"

TBH - would have made more sense to send the Boxing Day game up to Coffs. Could have handled watching cricket all day then the Jets on the box.
That Friday there will be people working funnily enough and it will be a big shopping day for families getting back to school stuff. I for one can't get up there so thats one family out.
Can't wait to attend a Saturday home game as planned with the squadron as I was planning on doing in the new year since I don't work Friday's then. Will be good. Can't wait.
