Almost definitely a response to issues at the Adelaide game... but I would argue that it's far far worse playing in 42 with humidity in Newcastle than 39 and dry in Adelaide.

This isn't a weather prediction for a storm in 2 days that may or may not come true. This is 3 days of extreme heat that will greatly effect the health of players and spectators if this game is played.
Calling it off early was absolutely the right thing to do so teams and spectators can plan accordingly. Rather than sitting around waiting for the inevitable.
And regardless if it's 42 degrees or 39 degrees, the quality of the football will be poor if it's played.
Stop being "all about me" for once Membah.
If it was a one off 40 plus, I might agree, but we are talking 3 days in a row over 40 away from the coast.
Teams need to travel, train and prepare in that heat - not just play the game.
Spectators are affected by the heat and I, for instance, have just been told to activate my bushfire action plan and stay home - I would miss my first game of the season.
Need to think about alot aside from the "accuracy" of weather reports.
How can anyone be pissed at calling off a game at when its feels like 900deg, except if you have spent big $ or travelled big K's. Get on the piss somewhere else
btw, SD is having a pool party instead, get in!!
Sunday now forecast for 34 degree and raining. How bout dah
It now 7:45 pm Friday night
It still warm outside after a 40+C day
It ain't life threatening ****ing hot for fans or players
It no ****ing worse than I have experienced countless times before
FFS Socceroo last WCQ was played in worse conditions than this
The FFA need to grow a pair and tell Foxtel to **** off
The game should have been moved to an 8pm Saturday night KO
Not moved 2 ****ing ng days
Don't think for an second the Monday 8pm Bullshit is for people's welfare
Foxtel ratings are more important than anything
It all goes full circle.. to the point that all games.. should be scheduled..
830 on a Friday night and 8pm on a Saturday night. Done and dusted... (give or take for special events etc)
Games played simultaneously....
Will never happen until the FFA have the balls to stand up to Fox and say that those 2 slots produces the best football and let the consumer decide which game they want to watch.....
