Zads is only 29 and and doesn't appear to have career threatening knee problems. No chance the Jets would even consider him.
Someone to do the running for the front 4 is what we need.....some of the laziest footballers I've ever seen.

Been in contact with Taggart apparently
Other thing of note is Leonardo, that one knee injury seems to be coming back and at this point we have him for a game, lose him the next one or two. Not worth paying him and wasting a foreign spot when he is unreliable from a playing perspective.

Seen a couple of links with victor Saba via facey today during January. Also noted Anthony caceres on the outer. He could be our little judas. One for the future.

Would not have fed Caceres last season however this season i had him right up there as one of the most improved in the league.
Why stop there ? Why not replace Miller with Hutcho ffs.
I'd rather we sign Bernardo Ribiero again. He was so class and there was no reason he wasn't a prominent player in the 2012/13 season for us.
With the recent links to vitor Saba I'm thinking Leonardo long term injured and Saba injury replacement.
Saba a player with great skills but as we have seen he has a very questionable temperament.
That would leave us with another import spot for a speedy winger or a classy centre mid.
I know Newy's much cooler than it was, but is it cool enough for Saba and his girlfriend?
Also think we should make a move for naumoff at Sydney
Has anyone seen the Football Today show with Andy Townsend, Michael Owen and Dion Dublin discussing strikers? Was on last night and is on again today. From last season but interesting.
The subject that got me in was when they talked about Heskey. Michael Owen said that Heskey did not have the confidence or style to be a lone striker, that his best periods were with a partner and his barren periods were as a lone striker. As a lone striker he was too "nice" and was not assertive enough to act as a leader.
When we go chasing players do we even think about this sort of stuff. or do we just see a name available and go for it?
Herald reports that Miller is looking at 3 players to bolster the squad. It's been documented that the transfer of Leaky will give the club a windfall of approx. $425k which split between 3 players is about $140k each, which nowadays in A League terms is what an above average to half decent player is worth. Is 3 of these type of players going to really make a substantial difference to the squad?.....are they going to come straight into the starting XI and turn our season around?....I doubt it.
On the other hand you spend that $425k on 2 players, @ $210k each, you are getting into the high quality player bracket....the players on the big money who are in the starting XI unless injured/suspended and who the make a real difference on the pitch.
At this point in time I think we require the latter; 2 top notch quality players in the starting XI >>>>3 decent players who are essentially just boosting our squad with numbers.
Easier said than done though, as the quality players at that price of around $200k are much harder to find than the dime a dozen ones around $130-140k.
Thoughts anyone?
