until of course the same people moaning about not having a referral system then moan about how many wrong decisions don't get referred.

Although having said that I wish it was around in the Brisbane/Perth GF a few years back.

The experiment would have ended that day and stamped never to return.

Agree. League started tampering with the rules and they haven't recovered. The more complexity you bring in leaves more to interpretation and more chances for error to.occur.

Football is fine the way it is.

All football needs is for referees bosses to tell their referees ok every game if you call something a foul early on then its a foul the rest of the game full stop. Sick of one team hacking players with nothing happening

Agree with those who say human error has always been part of the game. No matter how they try and implement it, replays will halt the progress of matches, however slightly

    Stop showing replays.

99% of the problem gone right there.

Seriously though, leave the game that way it is.

There is one big positive for the Video Ref in the NRL.

No matter how good or bad it works it gets people talking about the game.

The publicity the game gets out of every mistake is immense.

Just look at how decisions in football when not black or white but shades of grey get debate.

Look at the Berisha V Miller challenge in the GF a few years back. Many say pen many say dive

Video technology there is useless. It is an interpretation decision for the ref.
He either says contact sufficient for a penalty or contact occurred but insufficient for a penalty.

You will never get agreement on that one with a video ref

What kind of drugs are you on?
Berisha completely missed the ball and dived. Video ref there would've been spot on and ruled a dive, and a yellow card...

He was ankle tapped which made him miss the ball.

That's the other side of the argument... and is the exact point the Member is making.

I bet you're one of those people who say Lucas Neill never touched Grosso.

Grim is right...I have the game. No matter how many times you watch it you can see a 50/50 decision that comes down to the refs interpretation.

Liam Miller made the slightest bit of contact.

Berisha then made a meal of it.

Yeah he dived and played it for all it was worth.

Problem is here Miller should never ever have made any contact on the bloke. Everyone knows he will make a meal of anything. He gave Berisha the chance to make a meal of it. Just as Luca$h did on Grosso. Gave the bloke the chance he took it.

Hey I don't agree with the decision but I can see why the ref gave Berisha and Grosso as pens

Miller gave him a tap but the clincher was that there was a dik in goals called vuckavitch so Perth deserve to lose like that
