As much as signing Reddy would be a massive risk, I think it would atleast keep BK on his toes and make him work to keep his no. 1 jersey. If we just sign a 18yr old back-up, or development player as miller is calling it, then i feel BK will just take it for granted that the spot is his and continue to watch the balls sail past and into his net

Look at Sydney this year. Janjetovic had some clangers but nobody was able to step up and challenge him, so he remained. Conversely, Thomas really stepped up and retained the spot once High-five Danny became shaky.

And thats what im worried about with the jets and BK. Atleast Reddy has the ability to step up, although he's very hit and miss with his consistancy the past few years!

I still think we should be aiming higher than both BK and Reddy. But that would all depend on ownership and moving BK outside the cap. Also, i think you mentioned before, theres not many australian GK's available or willing to come back home, which then of course makes things rather difficult

Theo was coach of the Wolves when they beat Perth Glory over in Perth in the GF coming back from a HT defecit of 3-0 to win in a pen shootout.

Ron Corry was the coach of the Wolves the following year when they beat South Melb at Parra Stadium in the GF.

Team played fantastic football, Okon and Covic just kept ****ing up and giving away penalties and soft goals. Was some of the best football we've played though imo.

Under Nick T we played good football?? why dont i remember this. I remember the football being decent under GVE that season with carle griffo and milton pulling the strings not under Nick T

Worth signing. We don't have the big bucks too attract the best goalies. Him and bk can compete for the position.

    Anything for abit more depth.

Agreed. Nick Theo's teams always played good football, wish he was given more time at the helm.

Theo was quite the disciplinarian so not unusual to pee people off with such a regimental attitude.

Look at some of the football the Wolves played back then with the likes of Stuart Young , Matt Horsley and co.Was pretty good compared to some of the other clubs of the time.

Mmmm if this article is correct and we sign Reddy it's an indication that the sale is going through (which we already know) and the player budget is increasing.

Reason being we still have 2 x u20's to sign, plus with 2 Visas makes the 21 man squad Miller is on record as saying we are budgeted for. Reddy would increase that to 22

Aside from the fact that we didn't sign Covic until about 2 months after we sacked Nick Theo. Think you're looking for BK

GVE took over from Theo IIRC.

Team was playing great football, just without the results...

Nick Theo was sacked after Round 7 of the 2006-07 season - October 2006.

Ante Covic made his debut in December 2006 against Adelaide United.
