Didn't we also all laugh at Perth retaining Kenny Lowe.

    Agreed.
Let's see how he goes before we get all negative too.
The negative bullshit before a bloke has even landed at newy airport is getting tiresome.

The "in the know" refers to people who have worked with him at previous clubs and speak highly of him. No-ones hiding anything.

Reports today that Vidosic has gone to China and is likely to replace James Troisi in the team. Troisi has been struggling to get a run lately. The Herald are also reporting Ledman Group are hesitant to splash on a big name marquee this year.

Troisi could be the ideal sort of player we go for. He is versatile and can score goals, as well as being Australian.

James Holland was also relegated from Bundesliga 2 this year. If it were me, I'd be selling him the opportunity to comeback and look to do what Aaron Mooy has done - rebuild your career in the A-League for a few seasons and try overseas again.

we have heaps of central midfielders atm we need to focus on quality wingers and strikers above all else. Stevie ugar poijak kanta cowburn and wayne brown is enough for the centre of the park

I can see your point about the middle of the park. I'd be looking to sign Holland as our creative midfielder. I consider those you have listed above as more defensive minded or work-horse type midfielder.

Troisi started life as an attacking left mid/winger with greasy long hair. Even at Victory, he never played as a central midfielder. He was basically a left footed Kosta Barbarouses, scored one goal every 2 games or something. That's exactly the kind of winger we need.

Are we even talking about the same player, Stanny?

I was suggesting using him as the wide player - much like we had with Ryan Griffiths. I think Stanny was referring to my suggestion of Jimmy Holland.

true but we have nordstrand and clut as well as cooper for the number 10 and i think brown can play there as well. Id love holland but we'ed need to move on both kanta and poijak IMO

I mentioned Toisi last week as I'd also heard he had fallen out of favour. Aussie wingers of that quality would be hard to find. Holland trumps all of our midfielders. If Nordstrand and Clut are our first choice no. 10s we are in trouble. Much prefer Morten as a ST and Clut is yet to prove himself capable of creating week in week out.

but we can't keep signing players for positions we already have ample depth sign the positions that are lacking first

Totally agree. Holland (in my head) is better than all of them. I'd have him back in an instant.

However, that's a really valid point and we need to prioritise wide positions.
