I meant that did not kick on and become a top player. Not saying he should have turned down United just that it did not work out for him.

He definitely should have turned down United. Should have come to Arsenal when he had the chance, we hang on to our injured players forever, he would have been set for life. Now he has to rebuild his career in the championship and probably move straight back to the top division in a year. Haha.

It's his agent who will need to backtrack.

And what about Graham "can't wait to get my hands on him" Arnold?

It's a very interesting trend in Australian football at the moment. A number of players are choosing to head back and play for their home town team, with Adelaide and Perth leading the way.

Welcome back to the best player to have worn a Jets shirt.

The Prodigal Son will tear the league apart under Miller's guidance and McKinna's wisdom.

To me it not that interesting but common sense really.

Locals should play for less cash feel more settled be prepared to put in that bit extra and hold stronger in hard times.

Makes perfect sense to fill your squad with as many locals as possible and supplement it with some quality foreigners and a couple of ring ins from outside the area.

Problem we have is our locals ain't good enough to play for us let alone other HAL sides

Hoole has no end product and hasnt shown he has it in him in his career so far. So this signing worries me alot.

Exactly, we got rid of Alidovic who had no end product and now looking at replacing him with another bloke with no end product, but with half the work rate. Shit signing.

If we're moving on Pav or Brennan and getting Hoole as a back up id say im content with that.
We've heard in the media we're after 2 imports in the front 3rd hence that thought. And surely we wouldnt be paying as much for him now then we offered previously.

But if we're not offloading pav or brennan and signing him as a starter, i wouldnt be happy at all.

He must return as no more than a squad player impact off the bench

I disagree with most of you.

Hoole was our standout best player last time he was with us. If we're lucky enough to sign him again, he will be one of our most important players IMO.
    OK

he was our best player granted. BUT did u see what he had around him at that time and how many goals and assists does Hoole have??? cause he is a attacking player and that is his main task!!!

Standout player? He scored 1 goal in 24 appearances

And we were the worst Jets side in our history that season and one of the worst teams the A League had seen.
