Sorry if the audio is a bit rough on the Taylor Regan interview people. We were recording outside a café on a busy road.

Also I experienced some technical issues with Ned Zelic last night. We are trying again Friday. At the very least we have 5 minutes of audio!

I'm hopefully recording another interview next week.

loved the Regan interview and when Kew decided to walk off our squad could definatley benefit from a Regan type player being the back centreback / rotate with Mullen

If only you could have seen the smile on Kew's face. I need to get him on

In all seriousness, these interviews are great. Really interesting stuff. The sounds of the coffee shop just add to the appeal as I imagine helps the Reegs and the like relax and speak freely.

With a little more polish, i can see interviews like this on radio during the A-League season.

Just to add, what makes your interviews interesting is that you are an obsessed fan like all of us with an attention to detail. You are asking the questions that fans want to hear and not the cliched questions you get in regular interviews. When you ask about say game 10 in Season 7 incident, no interviewer remembers that. But us fans know what you are talking about and are dying to hear the answer.

So yes, am a big fan

Thanks so much for the feedback Borat. I've been wondering how they'd been received and whether people were enjoying the format. I'd actually been doubting my approach.

I am always mindful to take the diplomatic approach. We know the shit that went down around the Stubbins time but I try to ask what it was like for the player and how they responded. That's the bit where you really get to know and understand how they think. I try to make it relaxed and have a few common questions so the players can have a joke too.

Hopefully you enjoy the Zenon interview which is released next week.

listening to the podcast at the moment, just wondered re Chinese players, would think the women's team would be stronger than the men's, could Martin bring in a Chinese international marquee perhaps to the W-League team, or youth international even? Still think the seating issue is bringing it inline with the Knights gold area in particular, but I hope it does mean more Gold members move into bay 55, sick of other team's supporters taking premium seating there every match, shits me no end...
Life isn't the same without Con... but it can only improve without Tinks...

I hadn't considered that angle. Very interesting! It could occur.

It was a great chat with Zen. I have a lot of respect for the bloke after our interview. No matter what your thoughts on him as a player, I encourage people to have a listen to understand what he was experiencing at the time of his retirement and return.
