Kanta Ugar Piojak Cowburn and Brown isnt that enough?

Just feel we are lacking in depth in this area.

If we are parking the bus i feel Millertime could do with another option or two

Also seeing as this is a key area on the park a few $$$ signing a quality player would be of use. Rather than fumbling along with our pop gun midfield and then wondering why our defence is too busy and our attack gets no supply

The reality is our midfield was not good enough last year. There is no evidence to say it is going to be better this year either

i think cowburn given time will be great in midfield. Agree poijak and kanta rnt good enough buy maybe brown will be class in that position

We are lacking at DM because we used a visa spot on Poljak, who although competitive, isn't in the same class as some of our opposition.

But there is no way we should waste another visa spot there. Goals was where we lacked last year and our last 2 Visa spots/salary cap should be used on genuine goal threats.

Vujica confirmed.

Of the Australian players overseas under the age of 20, Vujica was the standout option. It didn't take long for me to scan through the list of candidates and pick Vujica out months back when I was looking at potential options. Should provide genuine competition at LB which is great as the u20's usually are just making up the numbers.

Looking at the type of signings the club are making, I get the feeling the style of play we have will require much more dynamic players. Last year, Leonardo was a traffic cone in defence and Trifunovic wasn't the most mobile forward option.

Stacking the midfield and having a few fullback/wingback options says to me these positions will be doing a lot of running. The depth is required for bench positions and to account for injuries.

At this stage I don't think we will play on the counter because we don't have the natural speed out wide.

Jets wont be signing any more defensive mids, surely. They arnt playing barcelona or bayern Munich every week. Pick the guys we have, If they dont work out get new guys in at sesons end, simple.

To be fair, he isn't English but he has come from the English leagues which is more relevant than whether or not he is English.

i do agree, the league hasn't had much luck with English imports with a similar mentality to our own. However if anyone is familiar with this player its Miller from his time with Fulham reserves. Its all very much wait and see but i think we need to trust miller on this one.

This is his chance to show his skills of talent spotting and his ability given this is becoming very much his own squad. i think the job he did last year was very good, which makes me eager to see the style and little improvements we can make this year. it will take some time getting us back in the finals mix however a bit of consistency with coaching and recruiting will help
