Never said he was a good signing exactly just meant we needed a CB pronto and now we have one with a decent pedigree. I swear some of you people expect our clubs to sign only top players and whatnot. We have a massive injury crises and where the Jets FFS thats not very attractive for players so were limited in options. Also we couldnt not sign a CB so lets give Fyfe a chance b4 we crucify him. At least hes not an ex gypo (but hey an ex gypo captain won the league with us)
All the knocking of Fyfe I am yet to hear who else we should of signed.
And before Jon Mckain is mentioned, there is a reason he was playing in Malaysia. He isn't that good and is very comparable to Fyfe.
The season is gone already so rather than slapping 34 year old band aids on everything why not start blooding some youngsters from the youth team and / or the NPL sides.
It's the perfect opportunity to try something different rather than follow the same path to failure the club has since season 3 ended.
Alternatively, lets get our new Chinese player on the paddock if we need to and see what he's got - because it's not like things can get worse.
Because people will shit on them for blooding young people when we need experience.
34 is experience, but probably too old to make an impact on our season, positively.
Chinese player got on the score sheet for the youth team on the weekend. Hopefully his fitness is coming along and will be available soon
The season isnt gone no way by a long shot and we could always just go youth everytime as you said but look how that worked for the knights. All we need is for the players to pull the fingers out and perform every week and for jones to learn from his mistakes alot quicker then Miller did and i think we can sneak in the finals. Mariners Wsw and Adelaide are shit and weve shown we can match the big boys when we want beating Brisbane and almost beating city etc
Exactly. If not a local NPL defender, I would rather us go offer on of the young CB's from an NPL side that went deep into the FFA Cup a run. There was a decent young guy at Brisbane Stikers from memory.

We only lost to sydney and phoenix and drew with wsw cause we were shit and lazy not cause the opposition did anything special. Against City we created some good chances with some luck we draw or maybe win. And against Adelaide and Brisbane we turned up and performed and shouldve had two wins instead of 1 win and a draw
