Or catching up with an old teammate

Jones will just sit Petratos on the bench or out of the squad altogether for several CB options

As if Jones would play Keogh. He hates out and out strikers.

We need to find a system that lets Kokko and Nordstrand play together up front with allowing Nobby to drop deep and find space

Petratos is an upgrade on Clut but is still massively inconsistent.

Not too hard, put Noddy in 10 in current system, Brown into DM with Ugar or Poljak alongside.
Alternatively can go to 4-4-2 although the differences between the two setups would be marginal anyway.

I think we may not see Kokko start again for at least a few more weeks though, Jones probably wouldn't have seen much he liked against WSW. Having said that I don't think Nordstrand has been that good when starting for us either, I think both have had their better performances coming off the bench into a spread and tired game.

Petratos already 5 steps ahead of Hoole. Vastly underrated player and great signing. Clut will be devestated

Yeah im not sure why Clut is under performing aside from the obvious (out of position/in and out of the team.)

Ironically, I think personally that Clut had his best showings for us when being played as a false 9 / striker. I don't think he has played as well when put in 10 (presumably his favoured position)

I disagree he's too small to play striker even false nine, We need his runs from deep and his balls in behind to Hoole Nobby and Nabbout.

But he did play well at false nine in perth and at home vs adelaide so who knows

Clut left roar to get out from behind petratos.
Athletically, clut doesn't have the 'engines' jones wants unlike petratos whose work ethic and 'engines' is up there with the best in the comp.

Clut seems pretty athletic to me. Are you saying he is more of a sit in the hole and spray passes and shoot when on offer kind of player instead of roam around and create stuff?

    This

He can get away with false 9 in some games when the opposition don't press, but most teams figure this out.

The guy is a 10 and should be played behind a striker.

But of course we like to isolate our striker upfront by themselves and expect our 10 to sit deep in the midfield for defensive cover. Needs more CB's in the midfield though.

This is why Kokko doesn't work in our system (its why Heskey didnt work as well).
