Of our 3 x u20's, only Bymora is on a 1 year contract. You would think that Kosta Petratos, at 18 years of age, will take Bymora's position in the squad for 17/18

Interesting statements from Jones in the press this morning that we would like to extend the contracts of Nabbout and Hoole, providing Hoole doesn't go overseas.
Not sure if that's an indication that Hoole is heading overseas and Dimi Petratos is his replacement, or the Jets do want to extend his Hoole's contract and Dimi is going to play #10.
If Dimi is to play #10 and we still sign the striker Jones bangs on about needing, where that leaves Nordstrand will be interesting.
Next season, super sub at best. A top line striker will be a must.

The Hoole one year deal was a great idea - get him working to see if he has earned more. If he turned to shit, back to Magic.

It's taken Nobby ages to get to a suitable level after preseason, and he still only looks decent as a sub. My thoughts are that Dimi is being signed to replace Nobby as he will be out of contract, Kokko still has a year to run on his.

My issue with Petratos is that he was pretty much always the 'worst' player in that Brisbane front third. Teams had to worry about Broich, Corona, McKay, McClaren heck even Henrique more than him so he always found himself in loads of space (moreso Broich and Corona creating space for him).
But now we are either signing him to create for others (as a #10) or as another winger who now doesn't have anyone to create for him. I just don't see how that guy can make our team better doing either of those roles.
So until we sign a true #10, and Ooga Booga becomes Corona/Isaias, he ain't fixing anything.
