Can only see us keeping cowburn, vargas, kosta and kanta out of that list and trying to move on Brown

I would accept boogs if he was happy to take a massive pay cut, like almost half of what he is presumably earning

Hoff I wouldn't bring back, he's not a beter right or left back then georgevski and ivan and I think cowburn does the job better job then he does, and he also isn't a good winger/striker when we need to put him there

He's doing pretty well at winger atm and Cowburn is a midfielder. We need squad depth and good backup to Daniel G and Hoffy is that

he's not bad but i also would rather we were giving someone else that shot who is actually a winger, us putting hoff there actually speaks to our lack of squad depth i feel and why we need to move him on. Cowbie is a utility player, can do a bit of everything

Its more Merrick doesnt want too many young players in the team at once when we already have Vujica Ugar Kanta Champness and Duncan

Cowburn is nowhere near the level of Hoffman. I'd take the hoff everytime as he's a better athlete, more versatile, and from what I have seen lately he can now cross a ball rather well.
Cowburn I find very lacklustre and perhaps a bit too measured. You'd never pay him as much as you would Hoffman would you ? I mean he's yet to score a goal, and he's pretty slow as well both in defence and attack.
Happy to have him on a shit wage - but would never have him on the same wage as the Hoff.

Hoffman has been solid no doubt about that but Cowburn was pretty good when he came on last Thursday...when it comes to scoring goals, first it's not Cowburn's job and second & quite franckly Hoffman is ****ing hopeless in that department...

We leading the comp now etc

What's this happy to have him on a shit wage mentality thing??

Let's go sign some bloke better than him etc and stop settling for mediocrity etc

I didn't mean to imply that if I did. it's more that I think Hoff is overpaid compared to his quality, whereas cowburn isn't paid nearly as much and in the right back role is equally as impressive to me. On the wing I'd imagine he's worse but I don't think we should be looking towards hoff as a winger next season

was watching the a league player of the round and Dimi got it, we really should pay him marquee money in two seasons if he keeps up this ridiculous form, would hate to lose him

Well with Hoffman out injured Cowburn will get an opportunity to cement himself a starting position if he's good enough.

Couldn't agree more. People want the club too bigger and better and that ultimately means leaving some of these blokes behind who were around for those mediocre times. That's Football.

That also how clubs dig holes for themselves

Sentiment is not needed in the pursuit of success

Time we grew a pair on that front

With Duncan out for up to 8 weeks, if Moss performs as he should I can't see us not wanting to keep him either.

What's the year point where we start getting salary cap breaks for long term players again? Is Hoff near that? Seems to be the only way I could see us keeping him vs wage demands.

Just seems like too many resources going to goalkeeper. Moss I believe uses a visa spot and I couldn't imagine is cheap. I know in this scenario it's good to have him, trustworthy keeper who is a good replacement for Duncan while he's injured, but it seems to similar to BK and Birraz, too many resources being used on a player who for the majority of the season is sitting on the bench.

Yea if hoff hits that point I can see it, but that's about it really.
