Just found out that Arsene Wenger has won more EPL matches as manager (476) than Spurs have (457) and Spurs have played an extra 239 games than Wenger managed.

Don't worry, Chelsea definitely win that race by a country mile. Last time I read up Roman has helped you spend just over £2 billion on players.

For comparison, since 2010 Arsenal have spent like £730 million and Spuds spent about £625 million.


But yes Wenger has likely spent more on transfers than Spuds, but not as much as you are thinking. Spuds have had periods where they've signed some decent fees (07/08 they spent about £95 million on players, £70 mil net spend when we spent £30 million but a net profit of £25 mil after selling Henry and others)

His Achilles was gone by then. Barca only got 1 proper season out of him on 08 when they won the treble with him at LW and that was really the end of him playing at the top level. So the value was probably fair for all involved.
