Absolute awesome day played in good spirits with a touch of niggle, which is what happens in local derbys especially when half the sides know each other pretty well, was really mate against mate in some instances, which was great.

Westlakes opened the scoring from a header that nath had no chance of getting, quality finish, Toronto struck back quickly through Hayden, for westlakes to score again to take a 2-1 lead, with Toronto Aawba scoring again just before half time took both teams in to the sheds locked up at 2-2.

Second half started like the first with Westlakes again taking the lead with their striker scoring his hat trick.... but yet again Toronto Awaba came back with a nice free kick curled in from 25 out.

Toronto Awaba then led for the first time when they were given a penalty when JP ( son of Johnny Beguin ) stepped up and slotted giving awaba a 4-3 lead and it seemed like the script was written perfectly for Johnny Beguin Day.

But again westlakes bounced back with that man again scoring his fourth goal and taking it to ten minutes each way extra time, im sure the boys didnt need in the oppressive heat.

Both sides with chances in extra time, but the inaugural JB Shield going to penalties with westlakes coming out winners.

Great day all round was had by all, and look forward to heading to rathmines next year to grab that shield......
come on it wasnt cleanly slotted, had to have a 2nd chance
