    Couscous

Means he is a damn fine catholic boy who group up in a neighbourhood full of deluded followers of Henry viii. Suffered at their hands and came out the other side to spite them by playing for their separatist colony, bring it down from the inside.

Also he is a Che fan, goes alright by me.

Unless he is CONSIDERABLY better than his resume suggests, I don't see the point in this potential signing, at all.

A left sided defender capable of playing fullback (you would imagine adequately covered by Gallaway, Carney, Goodwin, Steele) and central defender (we do need depth - but shame about the whole local lad given the boot, unless there is a massive difference in coin).

Probably asked this before... but who are our NYL team centre backs? Surely as a 4th choice, one of them would be better than spending money on a SFC/CCM/MV reject.

We need a 4th choice centre back. As this is only a trial I don't see the problem. Gallaway would be asking for min wage whereas Mitchell would have been asking for more.

Phil mentioned mentioned in the paper today the option of playing 442. I cannot see this happeing with only 2 strikers on the books and hoping one of the 3 squad places is open for a young backup striker.

As opposed to the local youth we already have in Cowburn...?

Isn't that why we trial these players? To see how they compare and who the coach wants.
