The club needs to appeal Roys suspension. Ninka evading a red and the squealing pigs efforts avoiding further investigation is no surprise.

yeah i was referring to 'keeping' McGree (extending the loan), theres no way he 'signs' for us.
Ikonomidis is def something we should be in the market for.
just on that as much as it must pain them to lose a player, from a recruiting point of view, Merrick and the Gypo handled the Nabbout thing with class. Hopefully that type of thing goes over well with future signings (esp young peeps) that if a better deal comes around, and the club is fairly compensated, then the player will have the opportunity to go.
it aint gonna be perfect like that every time, but for now, it made the front office look good.
One A.Hoole and agent refused to put a release clause in his contract because it would minimise offers.
Jets told him to find a Euro deal if you can.
Boogaard gone for the season. Regardless of what you think of his ability, can't help but feel for the bloke. Newy boy, captain, and with a great chance of leading the club to some rare glory and it's taken away by nothing but an awkward landing after contesting a header.
If there was any sense of karma, that would have happened to Buijs at the other end.
The release clause doesn't stop clubs offering less for the player or stop the club accepting lesser offers. Just means if it is matched, then the club cannot refuse the offer and it comes down to an agreement between the buying club and the player/agent. I believe having clauses around the 500k mark for these "rough diamond" players we pick up is smart business for both parties. If the player doesn't eventuate then nothing lost, but it does show the player that we won't stand in their way of progression if they play well enough to attract such offers making us an attractive destination for players who rate themselves and feel they may have copped a raw deal in the past.
By Hoole wanting it lower, he essentially felt he would not be playing well enough to attract such an offer, but still wanted to go without the clubs consent if was able to attract pretty much any reasonable offer.
On Hoole. I personally think if he was still with us this season he could be having a similar season to Nabbout - I think Merrick would have been exactly the type of coach he needs. Maybe not though, and I'm not fussed. He made his choice and things have worked out pretty well for us since.
Time for Jackson to show whether he can be the future or not.
I think the clause for Hoole was 200-300k?
Stinks for Boogaard.
Hoff to CB, and striker.
The one true Libero.
Plenty of options without Brown playing a part. McGree , Moving Hoff further forward once again allowing Vujica to return. Ugar plays much better football when not having Brown on the park. Pato back next game gives us plenty of options.
Injury waiver for Boogs?
