I've got a few pieces of signed memorabilia, but mostly they've been ones I've got myself - like one signed by the Jets GF team. I've been lucky enough to meet some former Liverpool players as well - one's I've looked up to and who brought me great moments of joy in my life.
Meeting them, yes I got a photo signed - but that was only ever for me and is often made out to me. Never will I sell it. But I didn't get a selfie (had a proper photo taken) but I actually spent the bit of time asking them about things I wanted to know about moments in games, what experiences were like.
For me, they represent memories two-fold. One of moments of football I've seen/watched but also a time I got to meet that person. It's not about celebrity, but meeting a very good footballer. Maybe it's because of doing the podcast and all the players I've interviewed, but I just treat them as people because ultimately that's what they are.
I understand many people look to get these to sell, but that's not for me. Also

Once went backstage many years ago in England with a few people to a gig by a very well known rock band. All I wanted to do was shake a few hands and say "thanks for the good times". This was very pre smartphone.
One of the guys went up to the lead singer and shoved a demo tape in his hand and asking for feedback.

He should have shown total commitment to the cause and just blown the singer back stage.
demo tapes have rarely if ever worked for anyone that didn't already have some kind of a profile with record companies and other bands anyway.
It's about your image not the music and as such a Demo doesn't really sell anyone.

Commonwealth Bank are what grind my gears. A month or so ago I was complaining about the my Gov / ATO pre-fill not working. Well turns out Comm Bank have misreported my interest earnings as $0.00. So I decided to check this years online and last financial years as well. Well, long story short - what they are reporting now and what they reported the previous financial year do not match.
Now I have to waste time trying to convince the ATO that I cannot report my interest earnings to them on this account because Comm Bank are incorrectly reporting the interest earned as zero.
As such, Commonwealth Bank won't send me a statement to report that I have zero interest earned - and I cannot complete my tax return because I don't have the information I require and nobody at Comm Bank knows how to wipe their own arse.

Put zero in your ITR - if it is zero interest you don't pay tax on it, win (not knowing your full circs of course). Should they audit you down the track it is an honest error (you put down what you were given). Believe me having worked in ATO compliance it won't be firing red flags. As it is a self assessment system there is so much you can get away with.
Now to the blue Wiggle (Anthony Field). It was him, his brother Paul and Jeff who started the Wiggles from the remains of the Cockroaches. Give them credit it worked and I challenge anyone who has kids in the 15-25 age bracket now to not sing along with "Fruit Salad" or "Big Red Car". Anthony is not as cool as Murray (ex red Wiggle) who is a decent guitarist and I saw looking extremely snappy dressed in black (with black hair) at Springo earlier this year.
The original band reformed last Christmas for the mums and 20 something kids...
You can tell Anthony was the only one of the originals not to retire. He is in his sparkly modern outfit whilst the other guys are in their old kit!
And yes, Anthony is a bit of a plonker but he made yummy mummy panties wet 20 years ago and is still making millions.

WGMG. Tempering valves on hot water systems / heaters. Fcuk this nanny state shit. Got a new HWS installed yesterday. And they had to put a fcking tempering valve on it to meet some bullshit standard / laws. So showers are absolutely ****ing useless now unless you like them cold or just dribbling.
I thought that was just for old folks homes and hospitals etc?
EDIT: you're right, as of June last year a tempering valve is required when replacing HWU's http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/biz_res/ftweb/pdfs/Tradespeople/New_installation_requirements_of_temperature_contr ol_devices.pdf
Can you adjust the valve at all to provide a better mix?

Don't you be talking bad about any of the Wiggles, old or new, m8
But agreed, Anthony wearing toe shoes or no shoes irks me and I couldn't care why he does it.
A couple of months back I took the young one to one of their concerts in town and Anthony wasn't there, had surgery or something. So Captain Feathersword chucked on the blue skivvy and some young bloke took Captain's job. And they just spent most of the show taking the piss out of "Patty", in the blue skivvy. They actually have a bit of fun and drop some good adult puns in the live shows. I'd go again. Wait, I think I AM going again soonops:
