Agree. Good talker but got about as much mobility as Tarago had.

Seen B doubles turn around quicker.

Montaño, Neville and possibly Hoole are the only players in our squad that would be in demand from other clubs.
The rest are either too old, too injured, proven failures, or are merely squad quality easily replaced by others without the mental scarring this lot have been subjected to by poor management and coaching.

This I agree with. Is it a coincidence we have conceded 4 goals each time Neville has been out? He's one of the better right backs in the league. Hoole has the bit of "x-factor" around him. Pepper might pick up a gig somewhere because he has the Jordan Henderson run all day type about him.

We need more pace in our team. Last year Taggart created more space for our midfield because his pace forced teams to sit back further than they are last year. For the same reason it's why I'm letting madaschi go. We do however need a big bloke to go up against a Janko or Keogh type player but look at the mould of the A-League striker. They're average height, sort of strong but very quick and nippy. Having ships, to quote Nou Camp, at the back isn't going to help with that. I'm keeping Regan and Pepper for the squad - you need guys who can come on and fill a position.

Mother Theresa - both Jacob Pepper and James Virgili are 22 or 23 years old. Are you happy to classify that as "youth" still?

I think we need a arab owner, as my opinion, a lot need to be chopped.

    6 youth
8 NEW specialised players- especially looking in defence, and 1 quality striker, and 1 quality keeper

Josh Barresi - worth keeping around, haven't seen him aside from a youtube vid
Mark Birighitti - cut. Not worth the money we are paying him IMHO
Zenon Caravella - cut. Can't handle his negative play. I'm sure he's a lovely guy though
David Carney - still living off the goal against Ghana in a game that doesn't count. Cut
Billy Celeski - Like what I've seen in a Jets jersey, hope his injury isn't too serious
Mitch Cooper - very forward-thinking midfielder. Like the cut of his gib
Marcos Flores (V) - Classy, hope he doesn't spend more time on the physio's table than on the pitch though
Sam Gallagher - like his style, could be something decent with a good coaching team
Sam Gallaway - cut. Enough said
Joel Griffiths - One of the few who play with real heart.
Andrew Hoole - Hopefully he gets more starts, tearing it up
Kew Jaliens (V) - Solid as a rock
Ben Kantarovski - Seems to be coming into some form lately
Ben Kennedy - worthy local lad
Brandon Lundy - don't know, never seen him play
Adrian Madaschi - Forming a good partnership with Kew
Edson Montaño (V) - Undecided here. He holds the ball up well, and I'm sure he would be banging them away with half-decent service which we aren't providing. Worth a Visa spot? I'd say cut to be cautious
Jerónimo Neumann (V) - Hasn't looked a patch on his Adelaide form i=since he arrived. Perhaps that's why they deemed him surplus to requirements? Cut, free up another Visa spot
Scott Neville - Like his forward runs, and isn't too bad a defender
Jacob Pepper - Another who I'd like to see given more starts with Kanta in the middle
Taylor Regan - Keep, passionate beyond belief and a tireless worker. Could be very serviceable in a few positions
John Solari - Still don't know how he got a contract. Cut
Jonny Steele (V) - Cut. Talented but comes with excess baggage as it would seem
James Virgili - Cut Outside, oh wait that's his signature move. Get rid
Allan Welsh - Seems another good prospect, handy to have off the bench in the middle of the park

Head Coach: Phil Stubbins - Cut. Have seen enough.
Assistant Coach: Clayton Zane - Keep. Have seen enough
Assistant Coach: Michael Bridges - Cut. Get him off the books already

Can't be bothered so ill just agree with all this except kew. Unfortunately I get the feeling kew is gonna fade away quality wise this season and retire. I'd throw him a coaching position though. Buy a younger faster cb to partner madaschi.

Got to love the people on here who have decided that the youngest kid in the squad Brandon Lundy despite not having played for the Jets in the HAL is not worthy of being kept on after this year.

Got to seriously question the IQ of people who wish to purge a young local kid who hasn't had his chance yet when most would have barely even seen him play

Over the last year his game has come on in leaps and bounds from what I have seen and we are gonna have an exciting local HAL player very soon to cheer on despite what some of you dimwits think

I agree. The one thing jets management need to be doing is developing a core group of young players for the future. We have lost so many young players over the last few years that we end up with a squad with little understanding of each other. Obviously some wont make it but Lundy, cooper, cowburn, welsh, Michael kantarovski, pappas? And others are the sort of players that need to be here for 5-6 years to develop the nucleus of the squad. Then bring in the quality foreigners and occasionally returning socceroo to compliment the existing squad.

Everyone is doing well with the keep/cut but slim-to-no people have posted thoughts on realistic targets if we did replace however many we want to.

Any thoughts on who you'd bring in to replace the guys you've cut?
    OK
