Got to beat china first. **** how good will it be. Chances are it will be a mainly novocastrian crowd. Will that mean the squadron takes over the active support? I'll be capo etc.

They do this and they can shove their AC up their arse...people all over the country buying tix for this game, it doesn't happen in any other competition and Japan will have something to say about increasing home advantage and ruining their planning.

Only Cat 1 and Cat 2 tix left as of this morning. Surely they must consider opening the hills and selling another 7000 tickets to the plebs? I know it is against policy though.

Also - will only rate us 50/50 to get past China, they'll be tough and the Suncorp surface is already playing on the Socceroos minds and will be a leveller. China have won two games there already too.

We all know you do not like Juric. if Cruise (spelling) had scored... Do you like him???? Maybe the soceroos are not all that good after all. It is ok beating Oman, Kuwait 50-0 but when you come up against quality opposition, who can absorb pressure... Maybe Ange got his tactics wrong...Maybe Ange is not that good a coach at international level... Who knows... it is only one game...time will tell.

I don't think Ange got his tactics wrong at all.

The possession stats and territory shots on goal and all the key indicators of dominance were in the Socceroo favour other than the one that matters the scoreboard.

I think Ange was spot on to leave the likes of Timmy Kruse Leckie out and give others a go. In 18-24 months time we will be playing a WCQ against a Japan Korea Iran etc. Last night proved to me we can compete and can win that game. Our side will be further improved in 18-24 months time also and the only things that hurt us last night were poor marking and concentration at the back and a lack of composure in front of goal. On another night we get one two three past the keeper and we are all hailing our side today.

Them the breaks. Despite losing last night I feel we gained more from it than we would have by winning. We are not far away from hitting our straps as a side and I feel so confident about Russia and not only that I feel giving a decent draw there we can get somewhere like in 2006

That will take care of itself in the next couple of years. This tourney has proved decisively how false the rankings are for some of the AFC sides above us.

how did you dig that out? nuh, nothin to do with depth. We cant keep the same players with such short rest periods between games.

although an intesting thought. We have always struggled for depth after our top 11 but we seem to have a team and a half that can cope atm.

we didnt use bresc which surprised.

correct if we win next 2 or it was the start of the slide from poor decisions if we lose.

Ange gambled on a game that we could afford to lose.

overall i have been a little disappointed in the gap between the top 16 teams. unlike Euro where the teams and games are more of a contest.

Some close results dont account for the domination on the pitch eg jap 1-0.
